I came here twice about 3 years ago, when I found it, it was a differentiated tipical spanish tapas place, the counters filled with plates of most varied and colorful "tapas and pinchos", nonetheless, all was so good, tasty and innovative, with an enormous crowd gathered inside and out..

A few years after and a WWP (that's the acronym for World Wide Pandemic), the "Tapas Areal" kept its DNA of good food, good ingredients, differentiated creative cuisine and an attention to customer that makes you feel welcome.

Excellent restaurant in the center of Vigo. The restaurant does not make reservations so if you don’t want to wait, go early. I arrived by 1pm and they opened by 1:05pm. By then there were 2 more couples waiting, which is always a good sign. Their pulpo a la gallega is probably the best one I’ve ever had, it had some texture yet it was super tender at the same time. We went specifically because of the rating on TripAdvisor. When we got there it was extremely busy, no one spoke any English, we stood waiting for a table for quite some time. The waiter wasn't helpful and really came across as if he couldn't be bothered to serve us. There was no English translations on the menu and then when the food came he just shoved it on the table and walked off. He really wasn't very nice at all.
