1926 Pizzeria Napoletana Playa Blanca — Restaurant in Yaiza

As a resident of Playa Blanca, I want all businesses to succeed and I really wanted to love this place (especially since my friend from Sorrento raved about the food). And to clarify, I've reviewed almost 80 restaurants from all over and have given negative feedback on only 3 or 4 occasions. Ok, the food: the starter was garlic prawns. These were tiny and incredibly salty. From the texture, I'd not be surprised if they came from a bag of frozen, supermarket prawns. No excuse living on an island. Lidl even do pretty decent ones so again, no excuse. For mains I ordered the diavolo pizza, which is supposed to be spicy. It wasn't, at all. Not a sign of jalapeños never mind proper chillies. The waiting staff appeared to drizzle the pizza with what I assumed was chilli oil, just before presenting. Whether this was what caused the whole base to turn into a soggy mess, I don't know. But it was not good and extremely disappointing. Some may say, why didn't you complain at the time. As a Brit, this is not something we do easily lol. Please take this review as constructive criticism, I really hope you business thrives. But in this sector, especially in a holiday resort, you must up your game. Best wishes. Having explored numerous Italian restaurants across Playa Blanca and the UK, I can confidently say that the Capricciosa pizza at this establishment ranks among the finest I’ve enjoyed in recent years. The flavors were impeccable, showcasing authentic Italian craftsmanship that left a lasting impression. The food is nothing short of exceptional, earning my highest recommendation. Equally impressive is the atmosphere, which exudes warmth and charm, creating an inviting dining environment. The staff’s professionalism is evident from the moment you arrive, treating every guest like family with genuine care and enthusiasm. It’s clear this restaurant operates with a true passion for its patrons. From the moment you step inside, the welcoming ambiance and attentive service make you feel at home. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and eagerly look forward to returning for more meals throughout my holiday. A must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable Italian...

Unbelievable food, truly next level! You can taste the passion and authenticity in every bite. The starters and pizzas from the chef was absolutely outstanding, perfectly blistered crust, top-quality ingredients, and that unmistakable Napoliian touch. Easily the best we’ve had not just in Playa Blanca, but possibly anywhere!

Special shoutout to Andrés and the entire team, the service was warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel right at home, and you could tell they take real pride in what they do. That combination of incredible food and top-notch service is something rare, and 1926 nails it.
