CHACHO FRESH BURGER Playa Blanca — Restaurant in Yaiza

I don't normally do burgers, but I'd heard good things about this place and decided to give it a try.

It is located directly opposite the bus station, at the top of a residential area in the middle of town. There are tables both inside and outside, and you can just get a drink if you aren't hungry.

The burgers are 200g - that's a chunky 7oz in English. They are cooked how you want them, so I went with their recommendation of medium.

There are 14 different burgers on offer, with interesting combinations of flavours. I went for the one with goat's cheese and fig marmalade, and liked the contrast of sweet figs and sharp cheese.

I'd recommend that you don't wear a white shirt because they are messy to eat 😜. I had fig marmalade all over my fingers by the time I'd finished, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The ladies loo was very clean, and there was good soap and paper towels to get my hands clean after I'd done.

This place has it all in buckets! Really great burgers, offered cooked rare, medium, well done. This tells you a lot about their meat and their confidence in it.

I chose the American Pie burger, it was undersold by the menu, two big doughnuts wrapped round a perfectly cooked pattie, cheese, bacon, Camembert, cranberry sauce. What a treat. My daughter chose the Envuelto hot dog - sausage wrapped in egg, in a bun. Sadly she finished it. I had food envy. We also had nachos - banging!

There is film memorabilia and posters all round and it works well for the theme but the food is front and centre.

Nearly forgot, they offer " Kit Explorador " beers from London, Amsterdam, Chicago, Berlin and Prague. A bit of a San Miguel gimmick maybe, but a nice paddle of beers to compliment your burger(s).

A few streets back from the promenade and the main strip, but both locals and tourists...

Highly recommend! I had lunch at this lovely restaurant and enjoyed an amazing burger – honestly, the best I've ever had. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was delicious, and the bun had great flavor. The whole burger was just perfect. I can't even remember the last time I had such a good burger at a restaurant.

My daughter had the chicken fingers, and they were made from real, fresh chicken – not like processed nuggets. Really tasty!

Great prices and friendly staff. They clean the tables as soon as customers leave, so the place always looks tidy and well-kept. The toilets are clean, and the restaurant has great decor. A fantastic place to eat with a nice atmosphere!

And as a surprise at the end, they gave us a small pack of Quick Bites ice cream – such a nice touch! I’ve never seen that in a restaurant before. It made the whole experience...
