This place looked so impressive...... but didn’t turn out so great in the end . We were a family of 10.. 6 adults 4kids. We arrived on a busy night wednes 10th (I think) was a big football game on tv that night. The place does look amazing - and having the few entertainment bits at the back helped with keeping the 4 kids occupied. Drinks over priced (dearer than at home in Ireland) €10.50 for a pink gin an 7up and €6 for a pint. We all ordered food. To which a lot of our food came out cold. NeArly 4 main dishes cold. We did tell this to the staff they said thewould reheat. But we didn’t want to risk it. They took 2 dishes of our bill. (Not good enough in my opinion). All the staff were so busy An didn’t have time to acknowledge anyone or any kids. Coming out of the kitchen with food so fast bumping into customers (at least 3 times I saw this) ... if you go to La gondola further up- they love the kids and makes your dining so much easier. Also after dinner I asked THREE different staff to order a drink an no one came over we left. The staff don’t seem trained enough with good customer service and the ones that do have good customer service don’t have the time for you. You could see they were under serious pressure . After paying our bill of €143 (very disappointed) I realized looking at my receipt when I returned home. That we were over charged for a dip, chips, an goujons that WE DIDNT EVEN ORDER!!! Very annoyed. And to add to it when I was in the toilet I spoke to another lady who said her food was cold too. Maybe it was just the busy night that was in it. But it was such a shame as the menu is amazing an place really looks like a lot of money is been put into it. I personally don’t mind My food been cold. But the rest of my party weren’t impressed. I’m here on the island for another 6 nights - but unfortunately we wouldn’t return here. And tonight walking Past I see the staff out smoking on the corner . What a shame. Had the food of been hot I think this place would of...
Read moreWe came across this bar whilst going to Playa Dorada Beach and absolutely admired the decor as well as the t-shirts on sale which we purchased, however we didn't have a great experience as such in the evening when we wanted to find somewhere to have a quiet and endured drink as everywhere else was closing.
Food I'm scoring due to the appearance and comments I've seen so wouldn't be fair if scored 0 so will score a fair 4, however service was a little below par due to being rushed to pay and out the door at closing around 11pm with watered down alcoholic drinks which were a little disappointing.
Atmosphere was great with the live music, however it went completely dead when they finished their set and everyone left as if there was nothing worth staying for which was a shame.
Now I don't know whether there is a curfew businesses etc have to abide by in Playa Blanca as it shuts up early in comparison to Puerto Del Carmen which is open till early hours, however it would have been nice to have the option to stay in the bar a bit later and don't know whether they have staff who are up to working that late given tourists love to stay out late on their holidays due to the lovely weather better than back home.
This is constructive criticism, not a complaint as it's sole purpose is to give you feedback on what others as well as myself may want also because you don't want to be sent on your way when the evening is only just getting started.
As well, the drinks with vodka etc. being watered down is a little naughty when you're being charged full price so just something worth bearing in mind so customers get full value for money.
With these little tweaks, you'll get full star...
Read moreI went to the bikers beach club with seven other people, four adults and four children. We sat four and four, an adults table and a kids table. We received the menus a couple minutes after seating, good service! But they waited about twenty minutes before taking our food orders. The waiter mainly neglected the kids table, where I was sitting, and I had to raise my voice a lot while telling him my order, as he didn’t even bother coming over to my table. The food took a while, not crazy wait time though. It was very delicious and reasonable price, though it went downhill from there. The waiter came back over to collect the dishes from the adults table right after they finished, and even though he could see we had finished, he left our dishes there. Not the worst, but we requested the dessert menu then. Myself and my cousin ordered the American brownie. It didn’t take long, maybe 5 minutes? But when he served us the dessert, he still hadn’t collected the main course dishes, so he pushed our dishes away and made just about enough room to place our dessert on the table. He then walked away, leaving our table crowded with used plates and glasses, leaving us zero room to even eat our dessert. My uncle had to come over and move all our dishes onto an empty table beside us. The brownie was only average as well. Overall, the food was nice, nice atmosphere, music and view of the beach, though very, very disappointing service. We are planning on visiting playa blanca next summer, but we won’t be revisiting the...
