Last night we went to dinner at Papardella arriving at 6:00. The restaurant had maybe 5 tables being served.

Tried to choose a table we liked but the waiter was not very accommodating or friendly. We finally got seated.

The menu’s arrived in a reasonable time and we ordered a Bottle of Chianti a very standard Italian wine. After a time the waiter came back and said he did not have this wine.

We ordered another bottle of wine the same price, waiter delivered the wine and we ordered some water.

When the waiter was pouring the water I noticed that the side of the glass was cracked. The waiter replaced the glass with no apology just mumbled. Our wine glass was also chipped at the base.

We ordered our appetizers and before we finished them our main course arrived. The waiter put them down on our small table and walked away. Who serves mains when you are still eating your appetizer? At this point maybe 10 tables were being served in this very large restaurant.

After we finished the appetizer, no waiter arrived to take our dirty plates so we took it upon ourselves to move our main course dinner in front of us and set the dirty plates off to the side ourselves. Still maybe around 10 tables being served.

Half way thru our dinner a waiter final arrived bring cutlery (a spoon for lasagna?) and the Parma cheese and the dirty dishes were finally removed. Restaurant maybe had 10 tables being served.

No dessert was offered and we asked for the bill. Upon review we noticed the wine was 6 EU more. The waiter explained the wine choice and wine price did not Aline. How is that possible?

Terrible, rude, unprofessional waiters. Can’t imagine going there if they have more than 10 tables. Do NOT recommend this restaurant and believe me there are many Italian restaurants to choice from that provide a memorable dining experience.

Don't bother if they're busy. We were seated by an impatient looking waitress who tossed menus at us and stalked away, leaving us looking in puzzlement at what had caused this behaviour. Next, a waiter came to take our order and to our amazement, when we attempted making pleasant small talk, he rolled his eyes, muttered "hurry up" and started spinning his hand in the universal "let's go" gesture. We were shocked but still ordered dinner when we should instead have stood up and left. It was very obvious that this restaurant was not interested in providing a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere in which to dine. The food was a different pasta dish for each of the four in our party; well prepared from fresh ingredients and tasty, but we spent the entire dinner fuming about our treatment by the staff. When we left we made our dissatisfaction made to the surly waitress who apologized without commitment. Bottom line - the staff is unable to handle the pressures of dealing with more than a half full restaurant seating, and will take out their angst on their patrons in the form of rude and unpleasant service. We entered restaurant and were seated at a rickety uneven table Waited quite a while to be served drinks and given a menu Even though not busy The two lagers arrived and glasses were not cold and lager tasted flat and sour. I wish I had left then But I ordered fish and salad with potatoes Half chicken with fries for my wife And thought let’s just wait for food as both hungry Fish portion arrived with salad and 3 small potatoes The potatoes were full of black bits And inedible The fish was dry, bland and resembled cardboard in looks and taste. Any flavour or zest had long gone into the bowels of the freezer Not a smidgen of flavour or seasoning The salad was also devoid of any kind of freshness or taste. Quite frankly a 5 year old could have presented a better meal 🥘 I asked the waitress for some lemon slices and chilli as the meal tasted of old shoe leather Thankfully this was presented so I could eat the fish The chicken and chips were dry and frazzled The waiter and waitress did not care when shown the potatoes and frazzled chicken The waiter was surly and rude And acted like it was annoying to serve anyone AVOID AVOID...
