Cofradía de Pescadores Restaurante — Restaurant in Yaiza

We live here on the island and we came before and had really good service and good food. Today we went back and we had a really bad experience! We came it was 2pm and they were serving food to the tables around us, we ordered 2 starters (pulpo a la gallega and tostada de salmon) and 2 main dishes (atun a la plancha y entrecote a la plancha) and it took them around an hour to bring us the starters. In the meantime the tables around us finished their food, paid, new people sat at the tables, got their orders and got their starters. They forgot completely our starters and we had to tell them twice to 2 different waiters before we finally got them! The salad in the salmon toast was so bad (as if put on there yesterday and left it there for a whole night). Right after we got our main dishes, both completely cold so we complained and they got them back, warm them up "a little" (the tuna was still cold, by the way) and brought them back to the table. Plus, the tomato in my plate was rotten. The wine and the dessert (chocolate mousse) were really good, at least! As said, we came before and we suggested the place to various people, but after today experience we will think about it twice or three times before recommending it or...

First time in Lanzarote. First dinner we find this place and have dinner. Very good but, if I have to tell the truth, I was curious to try other places around the island. So after a week we decide to go back there for the last two nights before returning home. For some reason, we had been struck by the sincerity with which the dishes were served, without too much spin or luster. And we made the best choice. On the penultimate night I had some of the best tuna tartare I have ever tried. My woman had a mouthful of mussels marinara. Exquisite. On the last night we were recommended the fish "gallo" for two. I think I have rarely had such good fish. Genuine and friendly environment, waiters helpful and ready to meet your need. Usually I tend to find fault, but this time it is impossible for me. Should I return to Lanzarote, I will let myself be fed by this fantastic place and the fresh and genuine products that the kitchen offers. I leave here a little piece...

Unable to say anything about the food, as the service was so poor we left! On arrival, we found a table. Other customers arrived at a similar time and were served fairly promptly, whilst we had to ask for a menu after being ignored for some 15 minutes. We thought that this would bring a person to take an order, how wrong we were! After another 30 minutes or so, we made a show of leaving, still no response from the waiting staff! It was a pity, as we had been looking forward to trying this harbourside fish restaurant. However, our disappointment led us to a nearby restaurant, behind the harbour carpark, where we we're welcomed and enjoyed superb food and service! They will see our return several times whilst we are here! No name here, but just look behind...
