Very mixed review. Family enjoyed breakfast on our first two mornings, young Irish lady serving was very pleasant and food was enjoyable, sorry didn't know the lady's name, will ask tomorrow when I call in to complain regarding incident below. However, we went for drinks last night and our evening went from a great night to an extremely unsatisfactory night very quickly. One of our group accidentally knocked a drink over and the lead singer who just finished their evening music set came down and started clearing the broken glass. This gentleman allegedly, then said to the person who accidentally knocked over a glass to get the f*ck out of his face. We did not interact with this man, we were just looking as he cleaned the broken glass. I could not believe what I witnessed and I confronted this man. I asked him why are you telling a paying customer this, when it was a genuine mistake. I assumed that he was also the person in charge of this establishment as the two men behind the bar did not want to get involved. Family left as this man refused to apologise and take accountability for his actions. I rarely leave reviews but unfortunately this one is warranted for all the wrong reasons. Will follow up with staff tomorrow to voice my concerns as this is totally unacceptable. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this establishment, spent approx 200 euro over 2 days and this is the service we ended up with. Just want to finish with saying again majority of staff were great but obviously pig attitude by this...
Read moreWe arrived just for a drink and decided to eat dinner. The bar is very run down with empty boxes sitting on bar top, part bottle of water no one touches, junky. The meals were decent size but the steak pie was just brown gravy inside and the crust was thick. The shepherds pie was a good size but just ok. Another customer complained about their food and the waiter argued with them lifting the napkin off the uneaten food spilling peas over the table saying they ate part so it must be ok. Very rude, worst restaurant we ate...
Read moreHad a few drinks and watched a match here while in town. It’s a proper Irish bar with a proper Irish atmosphere and you don’t need to be Irish to enjoy this place. We had burgers and chips which were lovely, the burger relish in particular was unreal. The pints are excellent and we had a great laugh with the owner, Laura who was very welcoming, polite, chatty and funny. This is great little bar and a must for anyone to visit while in town. Our only regret is we didn’t get to spend more time here! Keep up the great work...
