Went here after reading many positive reviews so we thought we’d give it a go. Ordered the BBQ chicken wings and Mac & Cheese bites to start, followed by the Chicken Nacho’s and Mixed Fajitas for mains. The Mac & Cheese bites were cold inside, whilst the BBQ chicken wings were exceptionally pale and definitely not barbecued, they looked more like they had been cooked in a microwave oven because they were cold and totally pale in colour with no signs of the BBQ scorching you’d expect. We complained to the waitress and she accepted our complaint about the Mac & Cheese bites, but refused to accept that the BBQ wings weren’t barbecued because they came with a pot of BBQ sauce! Anyway, she took them both back and returned. The BBQ wings this time were done correctly and tasted very nice. The Mac & Cheese bites were still cold, we didn’t want to complain a second time about them because by the time they had gone back and come back again the chicken wings would have been stone cold if we waited, or eaten. Our mains arrived and the bowl of Chicken Nachos had very, very little chicken in it, probably not even a small thighs worth, and whilst there was a huge pile of Nachos, it was all very dry and tasteless and certainly not worth the money they wanted for it. My Mixed Fajita meat/veg/prawns arrived on one of those skillet things that was meant to sizzle/spit/give off steam and smoke, but this was stone cold. It looked like they had cooked mine in a pan and thrown it onto a cold skillet for presentation, so I complained and they took it back and it arrived 5 minutes later, this time sizzling and smoking as it should. The meat content was very limited, and having ordered a mixed chicken, beef, and prawns, there were 3 very small prawns, and the chicken content wouldn’t have been enough to make a small chicken leg, and the beef content not enough to make a small meatball. By the time it came out again the Fajitas had gone hard and crispy like popadoms and were awful. We complained again and the manager knocked the Mac & Cheese bites off the bill but refused to do anything about the rest. We paid the bill and left exceptionally hungry and dissatisfied,...

Not overly impressed with the food quality in this place. We started with the garlic prawns and a goats cheese salad. The salad tasted very nice but it was quite small though, especially considering the price which was almost €10. The prawns weren't the best either. They didn't come across as overly fresh. Some of them tasted a bit weird and they were falling apart. Also, we only got one small piece of bread with it. We did ask for more which was given to us, so all good there. As main we shared a T-bone steak which was recommended by the waiter. Besides the fact that the steak wasn't a T-bone the meat was actually not too bad and it was cooked medium as requsted. The steak came with fries and veggies which both were dismal at best. The fries were really soggy and tasted like they'd been reused and reheated and the veggies were your standard watery cubed ones straight out of a plastic bag from the nearest supermarket. Certainly expected more from a €25 dish (most expensive on the menu). All-in-all a very disappointing meal which was a bit unexpected considering the fairly good reviews this restaurant has achieved in the past. Can't recommend this place and we certainly won't be...

La Rustica Parilla (grill)....so very very excellent! We went as a family and had the Fillet steak and foie with port reduction, Tagietelle with prawns and a childs fish and chips. Ok, my 9 year old really enjoyed his fish and chips. My wife really really enjoyed her home made pasta dish. Oh my goodness.... The fillet steak with foie was absolutley amazing. It was first of all, of extremely high quality, flavoursome, perfectly cooked medium rare and tender. I watched the chef put the steak on the grill, and he expertly grilled it to perfection, thin slice of foie on the top, and a port reduction with a buttery mash. It was a generous piece of steak. Honestly I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. It is part of the same business as the pasta and pizza restaurant, aloso very good, but higher up (first restaurant) going towards the town centre opposite the church. The wine is mainly the Yaiza Malvasia excellent local wine. Chef and front of house know what they are doing. Thank you thank you.we will be...

We visited this restaurant twice with my partner, and both times it was an unforgettable experience. Not only did we get fantastic food and drinks, but we also left with wonderful memories. The service is outstanding - you can really feel that they care about their customers and want everyone to be happy. The hospitality is truly on another level. As for the food, we were very satisfied. I'm celiac, and they kindly offered me several gluten-free options, even adapting some dishes so that I could enjoy them safely. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and felt authentic. To make it even more fun, we were given hats with our meals, and we truly felt like real Mexicans - such a lovely touch! And a special recommendation: everyone should try the Daiquiriki Freska drink from the photo - it's amazing!🍹 We will definitely be back again. Thank you for making us feel so welcome - you turned a dinner into a beautiful memory.🩷🌮🍹

New Restaurant, open for 2 months now! Absolutely delicious dinner here last night! This Chef can really cook! For those who love real authentic Mexican herbs like cumin, anis, clove, cilantro etc etc, this is definitely a must. Homemade fresh Quacamole, spicey salsa, etc etc. Nothing European, nothing American or English flavors! Just Mexican, the way Mexican food should be. The service is great, beautiful people who serve you like a Queen and King and the accommodation is not to big but bright and cheerful like a original Cantina in Mexico! The name is: Mariachi Mexican Food Tex Mex and is located on the Av. the Papagayo 79 Playa Blanca. Don't be misled by older reviews from 1 or 2 years ago, they are not relevant here. This restaurant is brandnew!

Very good food, good service- little bit of a language barrier but is expected at times. Had stuffed jalapeños which were great and chicken nachos which had no chicken on but still nice. For mains we had chicken fajitas which were nice but not amazing. Also the ribs which were amazing. Had a couple of coronas and cokes. If you ask for a large beer they give you the most expensive which is corona which was 3.90 which still isn’t bad but a normal beer is from €2. 2 complementary shots as well which were some sort of caramel vodka. Overall would recommend.
