"WE CANNOT SATISFY EVERYONE" Said by the OWNER

oh... where do i begin????? it was a DISASTER...

Well, me and my family were desperate to try some typical food from zaragoza and every restaurant was full. We found a table at La Casa de Las Migas and we sat down.

We called the waitress and started ordering the drinks. We waited more then 30 minutes for 5 drinks (mainly water)... Then, we order the food and it was here that everything went nuts.

People that came after us were already eating there food while we were still waiting. We double-checked our food numerous times to make sure that the waitress did actual order our food.

We waited ALMOST 3 HOURS FOR THE FOOD THAT NEVER CAME.

We order 7/8 dishes and only 4 of them actually arrived (of course, all of the were extremely bad and were mainly bacadillos and tapas). We called the waitress one more time and asked what the hell was happening.

The waitress started telling us that the kitchen was not making her orders because they wanted ur to be fired and stuff like this... We were in total shock... It seemed like a story, not a real scene happening in a real restaurant... She was stressed, we could see in her face that she was being humiliated by the kitchen. We asked her if we could talk to the owner but unfortunately he was not there and there was no responsible for the team... (that was what she said, it looked like she was trying to avoid any problems with her chef). Which was weird, how there is not anyone responsible for the restaurant (especially in august...)

During those 3 hours, 4 dishes arrived, one at a time, we started eating because it was already late and we still needed to drive.

We started being mad about this whole situation and asked for complaints book. The waitress smiled like she wanted that so bad and ran into the interior of the restaurant. She came with the complaint paper for us to write.

We wrote it and decided that we wanted to hand it to the person that was "managing" (like the waitress said) the dinner at the time.

Oh well, what we did.... The man who we handed the paper was the ACTUAL owner and was receiving some friends in the interior of the restaurant.

He started yelling at us after we told him that we didn't eat and we were there waiting for hours. His response was: "We cannot satisfy everyone"

There was some back and fourth not very good compliments as you can imagine and it ended with us ignoring the owner while he SCREAMED at the door of his...

We stumbled on La Casa de las Migas as we wandered around Zaragoza in April this year. The outside terrace was buzzing and we managed to get one of the few remaining tables inside. We were served almost immediately and the food arrived very speedily. We were treated with as much respect as any of the other customers, even though we were the only Brits there. As far as ‘stone cold red wine’ is concerned anyone who has spent any time in Spain will know that it is recommended that some of the lighter red wines are served chilled. We had an awful migas experience elsewhere in Spain last year but nevertheless, when our dish arrived we were delighted with our choice of migas con huevo frito. The crumbs were rich with ham fat, oil and pimenton, and the egg was fried with a crisp white and perfectly runny yolk. We had a plate of sliced tomatoes which set off the rich migas superbly, as did the crisp fruity rosé we drank. From what we could tell Casa de las Migas is run by 3 or 4 people at most and the lady at the front of house was polite, efficient and even though the place was really busy no-one was kept waiting. All in all an excellent traditionally Spanish experience which we would...

This was a very bad experience. We asked for a English menu, but they only said “un momento” and didn’t came back for it. So after she ran next to us (we were sitting next to the door) for 15 minutes, we translated the Spanish menu by google. After getting 2 cola’s, with no gas, we managed to decide what to eat after 30 min. We spend the next 30 minutes asking for the señora to order. However, she ignored us after running past us and yelled at the people at the entrance to move and that there were no places left for them. After that we tried to ask another server to help us order, but she yelled annoyed “un segundo!” while passing by.

After this we read reviews and saw the food was also bad and the waiting was super bad. So we wanted to pay and leave. Waitress was mad. She told us we can only pay with cash, however, we didn’t have cash. She walked away with a angry face, but two minutes later she came back with a device to pay with card and angrily said in spanish to bring cash the next time. Happily for me there will never be a next time. Most horrible restaurant experience...

I was on a quest to find something traditional Aragonese before I leave Zaragoza and stumbled upon this restaurant with Aragonese cuisine. The kitchen was open till late which was cool, the outdoor seating also looked nice but the stools are quite uncomfortable. The service was nice (they put a stool for my girlfriend's bag so it doesn't need to sit on the ground) but a little rough on the edges. The wine was great and about the same price like competition but the migas.. I do not know whether it is Aragon's fault that they haven't got the best cuisine or the restaurant's that they do not prepare it well, one way or the other, you feel a bit like a peasant in tough times eating dry breadcrumbs with a bit of meat. Unless you want to have try this Aragonese dish, I would suggest you get something else.
