Horrible experience! Went their with Family, including 2 three year olds and 2 teenagers. Picked the place since there were many dining at that time. They said they will just take 20 min to prepare our order. We could tolerate that coz kids were bit hungry and it was about 8.30 PM. Waiter said some of the menu items mentioned in the card were not available ex: Pizza Waited till 9.30 for almost 1 hr, then at about 9.30 PM waiter came and said “sorry the Rice dishes we ordered could not be made available “ I mean, seriously??? Yes after waiting for 1 hr he came and asked if we can replace it with something else like Kottu, he literally replaced it whether we liked it or not lol. Didn’t want to shift to another place as it was already late and kids were too hungry and sleepy already. :( Then when I went and complained to the Manager like guy he shouted around and told others to bring in the food as and when they are ready. It doesn’t matter if the waiting was worth it! We had just the worse kottu and other meals we have had in the past that we can remember. Horrible drinks !! Not sure if they have a different treatment for foreigners. Manager like guy apologized few times...

The Old Dutch fortress at Galle is a place that must be visited definitely. Galle VOC restaurant is a great place with a nice comfy feel of Europe byroads but a bit of excessive warmth. They do have displayed menus upfront with a pleasant guest relation. They do offer great food. The cuisine is highly recommended and the selection is very hard. I did have a pineapple pinàcolada it was a great cocktail to go with. Secondly, I went for a butter naan with cyed6ans tikka masala. It was brilliant. Top notched. All the organic flavours rushed to the brain with the stimulation and it makes you drool over food more than usual. Aroma is never the second. So we're the visuals. Secondly, I did go for seafood (prawns) rice it was good. Brillant was the first. All the foods were flavour rich and reached the taste buds in seconds. Highly recommended but the only con is the portion is not enough...
