Old Dutch House — Hotel in Galle

We recently stayed at this hotel, opting for one of their budget rooms, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, which made for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy and provided a good night's sleep. It's worth noting that they offer both AC and non-AC rooms, catering to different preferences, which is a nice touch.

The staff and the owner were friendly and made us feel right at home. Their warm hospitality added to the positive experience.

However, there was one drawback. The room was a bit noisy; we could easily hear conversations from outside, and it seemed like others could hear what was happening inside as well. This affected the privacy somewhat, so it's something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper or value quiet.

The place is situated inside the galle fort n the location is one of the best in the fort areas at such an affordable rate. The front portion of the house holds all the charms that might take you centuries back in the colonial times. All those archways, chandeliers & curtains make the hallway & eating area look so mesmerizing. As everything is at a walking distance, we could easily move around all the time during our stay. It rained in the morning & I have come across one of the most magical yet gothic scenes in the galle fort area. The hosts are superb & welcoming. The wooden furniture in the room also reminds us of the century old colonial history. This place is highly recommended for budget Travelers who wish to remain in the galle fort area.
