I had the Full Brekkie and an ice latte at 1300 on a Sunday with some friends. We didn’t have to wait for seating which was nice. Our host was nice and sat us at a round table into the right by a window. The table was super loose so be careful with your drinks if you sit in the same place plus it was hot in there with no windows to open. It took around ten minutes for the server to take our order and another ten to get them. Just a heads up, they only use oatmilk if you don’t specify what you want, they don’t tell you that. We ordered food after another ten minutes but then it took 40 minutes for it to come out. I was hoping for an awesome brunch after all the positive reviews but my toast was soft and cold and was supposed to be toasted. There was nothing to put on the toast and I couldn’t choose the bread type and got a very sour sourdough thing which I know is hyped up right now but I like the darker breads. The eggs were super good and my three little panncakes and bacon were superb. No water was given until we asked and they never came with the check, we had to ask for it to get out of there but maybe that’s a cultural thing. In conclusion, bad and slow service, half way good food for the money and time spent there, and sad that I got an oatmilk latte and couldn’t choose bread type. You...
Read moreBrunchoteket is a very cutsie, instatype restaurant experience which is great if you just want to have a little tasty something or if you really want a high price point brunch. We went for a friend's birthday and it was fun. The place itself is a bustling atmosphere which I think is fun but it can be very loud. We chose to sit on the heated patio which was a great idea. Our server was very nice but she was new and everything took a very long time to get. That's not really her fault and she was kind and clear in communication. We all got cocktails and they were good. I got Eggs Benedict and my friend had some sweet dishes including pancakes. We also enjoyed the presentation of the food but we felt that the quality of the sweet dishes were just not as high as we had hoped. They put more effort into the looks dish. My Eggs Benedict was very good, eggs poached well, bread was sturdy and the rest of it was good. Unfortunately, the portion size of the eggs beny small. It is so rare that I leave restaurants hungry but I was definitely hungry when I left. So for me the prices of the dish is really about the atmosphere and Instagram-ableness...
Read moreCame here on a Wednesday for brunch. There were only 3 tables, so the place wasn't busy at all. At that point, there was only one waitress, and she seemed stressed. It took forever until we got to order (the wifi was down at that point, so we couldn't order through the QR code), and in the mean time.. a company of three sat after us. That table got their drink orders before we even got our water. Not only that, they got their food before us! The crazy thing is, we had ordered the bacon & eggs Benny and grilled cheese, which apparently that table also ordered (along with pancakes.) So why didn't we get those dishes before them? Considering we ordered before them? We finally got our food after 45 minutes of wait, and that table was just about done with theirs. A little into our meal, another waitress joined service. No one asked us how the food was and no one gave us a water refill.
My company enjoyed her bacon & egg Benny although the bacon was cold and one of the buns was hard. My grilled cheese sandwich was surprisingly bland. It was nothing special and definitely not...
