Taverna Mykonos — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

The food is good, I liked the grilled chicken with potatoes and salad. The size of the portion is also really big, so fulfilling, my friend couldn’t finish it 👌

💰The dish in the pic costs 211 kr, really reasonable.

The thing I didn’t understand is the tap water 15kr/ per glass. In Sweden I’ve never experienced such a thing, it’s free everywhere.😁 I was so surprised seeing it in the menu and double check several times to confirm it. After all they didn’t charge us for two glasses of tap water, but we didn’t feel good about it anyway.

During our stay staff was also fixing some chairs right next to us eating. Can’t it be done when the place is closed? Why to adjust it in the middle of the restaurant? Actually, it’s really Greek vibe 😂 No one cares about you and just doing...

Great food. But the sound level from the surrounding guests was way to loud. Made it really hard to have a conversation with the ones in my company.

The visit did not get as calm and nice as you would expect when you eat at a Greek-taverna

I know this may not be the restaurants fault. But maybe they could do something about the design of the place, reducing the sound level a bit. And, the staff could work more actively trying to reduce the sound level from the guests when it gets to loud.

Hard, I know, but for me and my friends the visit ended up beeing not so pleasant because of this.

Attentive and lovely staff, however the food is not even close to the actual Greek food. I had a meze platter which i would expect it to be representative of Greek cuisine but it was a big disappointment: no olive oil, no lemon, not even some basic seasoning. I wouldn't be surprised if the γίγαντες are from the market but not homemade. And the baklava was also frustrating for me as being from İstanbul and married to a Greek. Maybe I was just...
