Disappointing Experience at Contrast Public House My visit to Contrast Public House in Gothenburg was quite underwhelming. Despite its promising location in the lively bar district, the experience fell short in several areas. Firstly, the menu is extremely limited and overpriced. Paying 170 SEK for a small burger without fries, which cost an additional 55 SEK, and sauce for another 20 SEK, felt like a rip-off1. The food itself was bland and lacked any distinctive flavor, making it hard to justify the high prices. The service was another major letdown. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, which made the dining experience even more frustrating. It took ages to get our orders, and when the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best. The ambiance, while initially charming with its vintage decor, quickly lost its appeal due to the loud and chaotic environment. It was hard to have a conversation without shouting, which is not what I expect from a place that markets itself as a cozy pub. Overall, Contrast Public House did not live up to the hype. With mediocre food, poor service, and an uncomfortable atmosphere, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience...

We always turned to this place when we felt like a little more quiet board game night or SNES etc. I am visiting since more than 2 years. But recently I am very disturbed and reading other visitors comments I see that I am not the only one. Going there makes you feel like you are a burden to the staff. Everything with them, every interaction feels somewhat complicated and you notice irritation towards you. If you feel like you might be a person that seeks good service and friendly staff, I might recommend other places in GBG. @ Contrast: I will take this review away if the next time I visit the vibe is back on and you start making customers...

We were waiting for the food for 1.5 h and after 2 times of reminding we got info the kitchen did not get our order. Our friends get this order so it seems the waiter forgot.. after an hour of placing an order we bought one glass of wine for 5 ppl as a reminder and we said we are waiting for food.. not a respond for a next 30 min.. even we reminded of our order, no explanation just that food will be there soon.. after 1.5 h of waiting we got info we will not get food and we have to pay for wine.. it happened just now and we are really unhappy...
