Modern interior, nice view of Göta älv at night. The music wasn’t loud, but wasn’t good either. The rest of sound volume wasn’t to bad in the restaurant.
The waitresses were nice, attentive and explained everything really well, they’ve were also very friendly.
All the food comes out at the same time which we liked, and it’s something you are suppose to shear with the people you eat it with, which is good to know if you are going to eat here.
We ordered drinks Baijiu Old Fashioned which what you’d expect of an old fashioned. And 水Water which wasn’t a big hit and I didn’t like to much. The drinks were decorated nicely, but average. We also ordered Baijiu flight, where we got 3 drinks. The Touqu was nice and had a pineapple taste to it, went down easy too. Red Star classic and Jinjiu were strong and not as good.
Dishes we ordered: Fish fragrant aubergine, it was probably the best dish of everything we had. A bit spicy, sweet, very well balanced.
Pickled daikon was sweet, but unfortunately became spicy if you have to much. It was a nice side dish that balanced out the greasy and oily food.
Typhoon shelter lobster was alright in taste, you got a whole lobster so worth the money. But I kind of wished the lobster wasn’t fried, had I known it was fried I would probably skip it. I honestly expected it to me something more similar to Cantonese ginger scallion lobster.
Silk road lamb racks was good, the meat was nice and very well cooked. The only complaint I have is the outside spice took unfortunately over the taste of the meat the more you had it, so less spices would make the dish even better . The broccoli was steamed and alright.
Mapo tofu was really spicy, so if you can’t eat spicy I wouldn’t recommend, it was fine to eat with rice and the spice was toned down a bit. It was average in taste.
XO scallops was not appetising at all, flavourless and very oily/fatty tasting for some weird reason. Scallops usually are my favourite dish at most restaurants I go to, but here it just wasn’t executed well.
The dishes are ranked from most tasty to least tasty. I wish they had more greens and vegetables with the the food, that way stuff would be more balanced since a lot of the food is greasy and oily.
Overall the restaurant was alright, would say a bit overhyped and more misses then hits. I would give it at least another try to se their...
Read moreAvoid!! I had a table pre booked 3 waiters told me someone was coming before seating us after 10 minutes of waiting we got seated. The view was lovely from the table & we was explained the menu. I had dietary requirements which they told me they’d have to check to see if I could eat anything of the menu ( I told them on the email when booking that I had an allergy) they asked how serious the allergy was & told me the chef said I had a choice of 4 things of the menu. Luckily I wanted 2 of the 4 things they told me I could have they didn’t say when I was booking that I would very limited on what they could serve me. Out cocktails arrived first a peach ice cream & white chocolate cocktail, please look at the photo I have attached the cocktail came & it looked like water!! It had a tiny shard of white chocolate in the soda water that had dropped in a massive cube of ice & what tasted like a bit of peach syrup no ice cream in sight!! On the menu it said there was ice cream in the cocktail. When our mains come the pork balls where served on a bed of ice and where freezing cold so not very pleasant this was supposed to be so the batter would stay crisp. However it was freezing cold & the pork was very fatty so we left it. The shrimp & mango fried rice had the smallest pieces of shrimp in & no mango apart from some tasteless orange beads that must of been the mango it was edible, but just tasted like egg fried rice. The spring rolls were the only nice bit of the meal!! The sauce was even nice that came with them. The bill came to £45 each!! For a portion of rice some cold chicken balls & 4 spring rolls to share! And a cocktail each that tasted of peach fizzy water oh and one Pepsi max. I told them I wasn’t happy & they gave us the pork balls half price! So I explained how the menu seemed misleading & the manager told us that they would give us the pork for free & the two cocktails however the bill was still £47 for the spring rolls portion of rice & a Pepsi Max!! Day light robbery. I have travelled all over the world, and had many tasty chinese meals nothing comes close to how bad this meal was & easily the most expensive. We was prepared to pay the price, but the food really did not live up to the price. Please just avoid there’s a lot nicer restaurants...
Read moreThe restaurant is modern. Beautiful view on the river.
We took the « fei experience » menu, 10 courses dinner. We were very disappointed. For the price that we paid we expected a very good service and tasty meals, this wasn’t the case. It isn’t worth your money and time. I strongly not recommend this restaurant.
The food was absolutely not tasty at all.
The snack was composed of three different things, pork bites carbonised (very hard), some nuts, and cucumbers. Very simple snack nothing interesting.
The starters were not interesting at all as well. Cold Raw celery in a soja sauce and cold tomatoes. Simple and not tasty.
Then, they bombarded us with all the mains at once. So the table was full of dishes we didn’t have space to eat.
The chicken dish was cold too. With a lot of spices and ginger. Disappointed because it was very cold looks like they just took it out from the fridge.
It looks like the beef dish was made with frozen beef! Not tender, super chewy.
The lobster didn’t have a lobster taste, it was covered by the huge amount of fried breads crumb and garlic.
The aubergine plate was the only good dish from my side. For my partner it was too spicy.
The tofu plate we didn’t even touch it. It was spicy like hell! I had to drink 6 glasses of water and eat the whole rice bowl to feel better. And normally, I do like spice due to my Asian origins…
The fish was ok! Very grilled!
The pork gia siu was not yummy. Covered by too much sauce.
Lion head soup, disappointment. The broth had no taste. And the meatball looked suspicious.
The dessert very simple, just peaches cut into small pieces and an ice cream with caramel.
Thus, to conclude it is not worth your money and time. Bad service, bad food. One star for the interior design and modernity of the restaurant and view!
I strongly not recommend this place if you like to eat good and tasty meals! They are many other restaurants much better in Gothenburg than this one.
For the same price you can have a Michelin start restaurant. A...
