Sultan grill is offering Turkish cuisine in a Cozy and modern restaurant. Trying the grill option in the menu is must. Within grill options I would suggest Adana (option 26 in menu, specially If you enjoy spicy food). If you like less/ no spicy option of same dish go for option 27 in menu and order Urfa. Also you could add one or as many as you like lamb kottlet or extra meat/ chicken skewer( current price for each lamb kottlet is 45 kr and price for each meat/ chicken Skewer 89 kr) I also suggest Tabbouleh for side salad (Option 7 in the menu as starter). From drink section, if you like to try spicy beetroot pickle drink, order “Salgam”. Personally did not like it so much but may be it works with your palate. If you are enjoying strong coffee, try Turkish coffee. I call it Turkish version of espresso 😊 but slightly taste less stronger. Warning about Turkish coffee: Towards end of the cup as you drink your coffee (1 cm tick) there is a ground coffee beans. Make sure to stop drinking on time. If you like to try the Turkish style tea brewed in Samovar. Go to the hot drink beverage section and serve yourself and your guest free glass of tea. Also I recommend Baghlava, very sweet delicious Turkish pastry made mostly with pistachio or walnuts and soaked in sugar water for hours. In general, I am sure you will enjoy your time and...
Read moreWe recently visited Sultan grill just to have some amazing Turkish desserts. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were captivated by the warm atmosphere, and a wonderful staff, that transported us to the vibrant streets of Turkey.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the special Baklava with ice cream and Kunefe. These traditional Turkish desserts were prepared with utmost care and dedication by the talented person (a descendant of picaso) working at Sultan Grill. The Baklava, a delicate pastry layered with honey-drenched nuts, was an absolute delight. Each bite brought together a perfect balance of flaky sweetness and nutty goodness, leaving us craving for more.
The Kunefe, another masterpiece, was a sweet and savory treat that left a lasting impression. The crispy layers of shredded pastry encased a rich, gooey cheese center, complemented by a drizzle of sweet syrup. The person working at Sultan Grill not only prepared these delicacies to perfection but also entertained us with their expertise, making our dining experience truly unforgettable. Finally, thanks for the free...
Read moreThe food was great, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, I found the seating area to be quite tight and congested. We noticed two other dining rooms that were empty and asked to sit there, but the staff told us those areas were closed and had already been cleaned. That explanation seemed reasonable at the time.
But shortly afterward, a group of white guests arrived — and to our surprise, the staff immediately seated them in that same “closed” room. Suddenly, it was no longer off-limits or cleaned up. This inconsistency felt unfair and frankly uncomfortable. Whether it was intentional or not, it gave the impression of preferential treatment based on race or appearance.
Even though the restaurant isn’t white-owned — so it likely wasn’t intentional racism — it may reflect an internalized bias or a subconscious “colonial flashback.” That’s how it felt to me, and it left a bitter impression. Despite the good food, I would rate the service a 0 based on this experience and one more thing, toilets are...
