Vasaplatsens Brygghus — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

So, there I was, enjoying a nice afterwork with my colleagues after a hectic day at work. We order some beers, some burgers. Everything is nice and okay. But then the music starts. Really loud and dancefloor like. Suddenly, all of nice conversations we were having starts fading into the background. We try to increase our voices, to somehow utilise the energy gained from the food we had just eaten to have a decent conversation. It is getting difficult. I was bearing the noise for a while, but it doesn't seem to go down. So, I politely ask a waiter to reduce the volume, to which he replies that it is not under his control. So I go to the bar and ask aother waiter if he could reduce the volume. He flat out refuses to do it and says sorry. The nice feeling I had spending some social time with my colleagues has now been replaced by the annoyance at their indifference. Is this normal at bars like these? Am I the only one who feels this is wrong? If you think this is completely okay, I urge you to rethink. There was no dancefloor, people were not dancing. My experience was the worst. All the waiters and waitresses seemed to be in the bar just to enjoy themselves and not to serve the customers. I couldn’t tell if their attitude was because they were not comfortable speaking English or because they saw someone with a different skin color. They brought us wrong orders first, then served cider in a whiskey glass (I know right!who does that?). Then the toilets were in their worst mood that day. Otroligt dålig upplevelse – ingen förståelse för allergier

Jag är ärligt talat chockad över hur nonchalant den här restaurangen hanterar allergier. Vi bad om en pizza utan ost eftersom jag är allergisk, men möttes bara av ett stelt “det är så menyn är satt” – ingen förklaring, ingen förståelse, ingen vilja att anpassa sig överhuvudtaget.

Att inte kunna ta bort en ingrediens som potentiellt kan ge en allergisk reaktion, och dessutom vägra förklara varför, är inte bara dålig service – det är rent ut sagt farligt. Vi bad inte om rabatt, bara om att få ta bort ost på en pizza jag ändå betalar fullt pris för. Det borde vara en självklarhet, särskilt när det handlar om hälsa.

Här sätter man alltså menyer före människors välmående. Jag kommer aldrig tillbaka – och det borde ingen annan heller göra. Har du allergier, särskilda kostbehov eller bara förväntar dig grundläggande respekt och service? Håll dig långt borta.
