Claire Shokudo — Restaurant in Malmö kommun

I have been Claire's three times now. Even had sushi as take away once. And I must say, it is WONDERFUL! The place itself is small and not much from the outside. However, after talking to Claire about their idea, it all make sense. It is not made as a fancy michelin restaurant, it is supposed to be more like a neighbour hood restaurant. A place which feels kind of like "home" and where you get served meals as they could be served at home.

Claire and her husband(?) are just the cutest ever. They make you feel welcome and at home. We have been there with our kids, and they absolutely LOVED the sushi. And I can only agree! I have been eating my fair share of sushi in my days and I like to try new places if I see them, but this must be one of the absolut best Sushi places I have ever been to, if not even the best. The flavour and consistency of the rice is perfect. The fish is so fresh and just melts in your mouth And their miso soup(!), don't get me started on this one. It is super tasty! They prepare it with Salmon in it, which makes it even more delicious!

Our 10 year old boy is still talking about the amazing sushi we had around easter break. And I will for sure stop by every time I have the chance.

For those of you who might be afraid of sushi, try it here. It is such a difference from other Sushi places.

Extremely nice new little restaurant by Caroli! Went here for lunch and had a great experience. The place is small so not many seats, but it makes the place very cosy. It takes a while to get the food as everything is being prepared by order, but it is well worth the wait! It is very clear the staff is putting a lot of love in the preparation of the food.

Very tasty sushi with fresh ingredients. The ginger on the side was also one of the best I ever had. (Unsure what made it so special, but it somehow had a lot more flavour and tested more fresh then what I have had before.)

The staff is also very friendly and attentive, we even got a complimentary miso soup while we waited for our food. Pricing was fair also, we paid about 110kr per person, sharing at 22 piece plate of sushi.

Will recommend this place to everyone I know and definitely go there many more...

I entered ready to order a vegan sushi plate consisting of exclusively tofu or avocado pieces, but was immediately met by a friendly man who told me that they don't get a lot of vegans. But also that the aforementioned plate sounded boring, after which he cleaned down the entire cooking area to make it vegan proper. After a nice tea, what I got was partially what I expected going in. Except he additionally made up a maki roll on the spot, with some inari, some avocado and I think it was yellow radish(?) It was very good. The regular inari pieces were some of the best I've eaten, with some red cabbage under the hood. A bit on the pricier side of a lunch budget but definitely worth it considering all the work...
