Green Chili Indian Cusine — Restaurant in Malmö kommun

The location is the only thing that is keeping this place going on. Nothing such as authentic Indian food to expect here at all. I have tried to give them 2-3 chances hoping maybe the chef changed or they learnt from feedback but everytime got disappointed. Won't come here again. We ordered samosas for starters but we were surprised to see what they served. 3 pieces of tiniest samosas which looked like the frozen ones that can be bought in any indian shop. Even the chutney that came with it was something that no real indian restaurant will ever serve. Main course we ordered was tadka dal and vegetable kofta. But again to our surprise, it was nothing that you get in indian restaurant. Vegetable kofta came as a sizzler and not with gravy or curry which is how it is supposed to be served as. We even asked the waiter if it was with curry and he said yes but when the dish came, it was dry. Even Naan was something that i have never ever eaten in my whole life at any indian restaurant. Too thick. Real naan is crispy and very thin. We ordered a parantha and it was also frozen type. They really need to find a better chef otherwise it is just making indian...

I have eaten here several times and it's great food and normally also friendly and serviceminded staff, fair prices in a cozy atmosphere sitting outside under the heaters in March. However at my last visit (July 2021) after sitting down at a table outside, the waiter told me that they would now close the kitchen for half an hour and that I better find another restaurant. No explanation as to why, no excuses, no suggestion to wait and have a drink, nothing... and he didn't even seem embarrassed or sorry. We left and neither of the two waiters seemed to care much despite that I do not intend to return ever again after, why should I, there are plenty of good alternatives to an Indian restaurant in Malmö. Suggestion to the waiter: Why not an explanation, why not a 'sorry, can I offer you a complimentary coffee while you wait?' or just any other treatment would have been nicer and a smile wouldn't have...

Should have taken the 1 star a bit more seriously 😐, I never write bad reviews but I couldn’t stop myself when it comes to Green Chili.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Green Chilli. The service was painfully slow, leaving us waiting for an unacceptable amount of time. To make matters worse, the menu was a complete letdown. The food lacked any sort of flavor or authenticity, and the limited options were a far cry from what I expected. It is by no means an Indian restaurant, I mean when a meal portion has hardly 20ml curry in it, why do you even take orders for naan for the same portion, what do we eat the naan with, water ? For people who have given more than 3 stars, I bet these guys have never set foot in an Indian restaurant, I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a quality...
