I came in by chance the first day they were open for business. Love the wine tasting concept and their friendliness. Gives a feeling of being part of the family. The 15.th of december 2018 I came back after a long break. A new waitress ignored me telling her I am glutenfree. In 3. try they managed to serve a plate with no bread mixed up with my food. And there my friend was asked if we could have informed about this from the start. Wich I know I did. But, just wasn't payed attention to. The place has a great ambiance and I'm sure they're overworked. I have from my first visit there asked for glutenfree bread alternatives. But, it sadly doesn't seem to be of interest. The picture is showing cheese on top of a thin bread, wich had to be changed to a fresh serving without the gluten from the bread. I really mis bread to my food and feel like taking my own bread with me. Wich is not optimal. Other places make sure to have...
Read moreAfter visiting various winebars in Malmo, my opinion is that Gustavino is top nodge. The location is convenient in a corner of the grand square, interior is cozy and has great character. The best though is great selection of predominantly Italian wines and they always have a good few open bottles and offer tasting before making your choice if you so like. What I have appreciated the most though, in addition to excellent wines, is the service and treatment from Gianmarco Basso who I believe is one of the owners and who is normally standing behind the bar. He knows what service is and making you feel really valued. I have at a good few occasions been provided a little tray with cheese nuggets, chutney and some crackers to accommodate my Barolo. Out of the wine places I have visited, he is the only one who has given me this valuable feeling as a customer, in return I have also made it a place I...
Read moreThe place is cozy and the food we tried was very delicious. The lack of a real menu is annoying as you can only read it comfortably if you are sitting really close to the wall. When you want to buy a bottle of wine you need to go to the bar counter and ask for it. No wine lists and no prices. It is quite uncomfortable to ask the price of every single bottle. Also, the concept of a wine bar can not only be about selling wines but to educate people about wine. We got no information from the sommelier about the wines and we couldn't even read about it somewhere. So, basically you can get more information about the wine you are drinking in a simple...
