Il Conte — Restaurant in Stockholm

We visited at lunch. The menu has options of pastas, pizzas, starters and mains. Service was very slow and the food took a long time to arrive thoughit was off peak. Price wise, no surprises that it's on the high side as it is located in tourist central.

We ordered a few familiar dishes-

Pasta alla bolognese ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Aldente spaghetti pasta in minced meat and tomato sauce. I liked the firmness of the pasta. The sauce was savoury, not overly oily. The portion was filling as it had alot of thick pasta but could do with more meat.

CARPACCIO DI MANZO WITH RUCOLA ⭐⭐ Rather thick slices of beef fillet. It was edible but not the best. The accompanying arugula salad Parmesan cheese were fresh.

GAMBERONI ALLA GRIGLIA ⭐⭐⭐ 6-7 large grilled prawns roasted vegetables and chili mayonnaise. Texture was firm with a saltiness that usually accompanies grilled seafood. Some remnants of the frozen refrigerated taste from deep freezing but understand that it's not easy to get very fresh large prawns in Sweden.

It was easy to locate II Conte, a medium sized restaurant with alfresco seating just off busy Strandvägen and in the sidestreet of Grevgatan. It was interesting to find that the restaurant and street means The Count in...

We dined here using a voucher from Upplevelse and had a generally delightful experience. The service was wonderful—our server was very attentive, always smiling, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. We ordered the Frutti di Mare and the Maccheroncini alla Franco, and both dishes were exceptional. The pasta was perfectly cooked to al dente, and the portions were generous, especially with the seafood. My Frutti di Mare was packed with fresh squid and prawns, which tasted far from the frozen variety, while my partner's pasta, with tender beef fillet and mushrooms, was equally satisfying. To top it all off, we shared a crème brûlée, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. However, just as we were finishing, we caught an unfortunate whiff of something unpleasant, which seemed to come from one of the male staff members. It was an awkward moment, but despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We’ll definitely return to explore more dishes, though we kindly ask that the dining space remains fresh and inviting...

At Il Conte Östermalm the older man who seemed to be the manager was incredibly rude. From the moment we walked in, he treated us with a complete lack of respect and was anything but service-minded. He made us feel unwelcome and seemed annoyed by our presence, which was shocking considering we were paying customers.

To make matters worse, he blatantly tricked us with the prices. The menu showed one price, but when the bill came, it was significantly higher. When we questioned the discrepancy, he became defensive and dismissive, refusing to explain the extra charges. It was clear he was trying to take advantage of us, and his attitude was infuriating.

The pizza itself was mediocre at best – definitely not worth the inflated prices we were forced to pay. It was clear that customer satisfaction was the last thing on this manager's mind.

Overall, this place was a disaster. Rude staff, dishonest pricing, and subpar food. Save your money and go somewhere else. This place doesn't deserve...
