Meetballs & Pancakes — Restaurant in Stockholm

Summary: This is such an underrated place. Bang in the middle of söder, easy to get to, lovely service, and amazing food that feels like it's made at home with love! The owner is super nice, and really friendly. I don't know why I've not heard about this place yet! Definitely come by and give them a try!

We were a group of four, with two of us visiting stockholm for the first time. I wanted to show them around and get them good meatballs. Obviously, due to the fame, my first idea was a very famous place that I will not name which is right across this restaurant. However, because it was too busy, I decided to go to this lovely establishment. And I'm so glad I did. The lovely owner was so kind to the tourists in our group and explained everything and the menu. The portion sizes were fantastic and what surprised me was the pricing! 154 kr for a plate of 6 medium size meatballs OF AMAZING QUALITY AND TASTE is an absolute bang for the buck. We got the reindeer meatballs, the vegetarian one, the beef version, and the potato pancakes (raggmunkar) with bacon. For the cozy atmosphere and location in söder this place is an absolute delight. It's such a little treasure that more people need to go to. Highly recommend. Would definitely come back without batting an eyelid. (Also shout out to the owner's doggo! An absolute well behaved cutie!)

Great atmosphere and great food. Got the Classic Viking 6 piece (139 kr), but honestly even the 4 piece would be enough, it's just so filling. The meatballs are soft and juicy, the sauce is very smooth and complements the meatballs well and the mashed potatoes were also pretty good. The only thing I didn't entirely finish was the lingonberry jam, there was a bit too much of it for how sweet it was, but I guess that's down to preference. Also they give you free water and refills so that's cool.

But the best part had to have been the little dog that has a little bed in the corner of the front window. He would occasionally get up and go around to each table to check on the guests. I honestly recommend going just for that...

After touring Sodermalm sights we came across this little gem. Although it's a smallish place it is tastefully decorated. Kassor greeted us and made recommendations and brought our food. We had classic Viking Beef and Pork meatballs with potato mash, lingonberry jam, gravy and pickled cucumbers. The size of the meatballs is very good and they were yummy. The place soon filled up with other customers. Some were also enjoying their pancakes with meatballs. Their prices are very reasonable as well. There are some tables outside on the pavement for those who wish to sit there. You can also play chess on the table while waiting for your food. Excellent place for meatballs...
