Rosendals garden and café is a beautiful place I recommend everyone to visit. Besides just the café, there's also a flower and gardening shop with a vast array of flowers and plants, and the staff is very knowledgeable and happy to help you with any gardening questions. There's also a small knick-knack shop with locally made products such as jam, cider, cooking oil and much more. They also stock products from local artists, for example ceramics and cutlery.
The café itself serves lunch and desserts. Everything is very expensive, way beyond any prices you'd find at a regular café, however, you are definitely paying for the experience of being there and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Coffee costs 38kr, which is a lot, but you do get free refills. I recommend getting a coffee and a carrot cake, and enjoying the different parts of the garden areas.
I also recommend swinging by the herbal garden, since it's an experience like no other. The array of smells and scents will overwhelm you in the best way. Overall, I love this place, and even though it's very expensive, the experience...
Read moreCame here because a lot of Stockholmers recommended this place but after the visit, I felt like it was an overhyped place. Firstly almost no one walk around the forest area, people were just there to watch other ppl or to be seen specifically inside of the garden cafe. A lot of pretentious people like reading books and not talking to each other? Or just taking pics for the gram but still not talking to each other? 😅 I don't know about you but I've not been to a place just as many pretentious looking ppl than this garden cafe. Food was very mediocre and everything was overcharged. None of the waiters nor staffs wanted to serve the customers/ visitors either. After ordering and paying, the young boy whom we paid our food for was looking at my Swedish partner from top to bottom as if we shouldn't be here or something. The garden is nonetheless pretty but it's the people there who makes me think twice not to...
Read moreThe location is amazing, and they have been redoing most of the greenhouses (construction still ongoing as of writing this review). The outdoor area is very pretty and there’s a lot of room to sit.
However, the prices for the food have gone up quite a bit significantly, and the quality of the meals has also quite significantly decreased, in both taste and quantities. Due to the number of visitors, the kitchen has a hard time serving in reasonable time (count 30 minutes in sunny summer days), and the service is really chaotic, as you come with a pager but none really check that your taking your food. So you kind of have to be on the watch otherwise your plates might be taken by some other impatient visitor…
I hope this will be fixed...
