I recently dined at Tabbouli Djurgården and I must say, it was a highly disappointing experience. We were excited to try out the restaurant and ordered a variety of dishes including Warak Inab (120 SEK), Mhammara (120 SEK), Fatosh (130 SEK) and Sahra Mouklieh (130 SEK). While the dishes themselves were alright at first, our entire dining experience was overshadowed by a major hygiene issue that left us disgusted.
Imagine our horror when we discovered that the pita bread served alongside our dishes had been gnawed on by MICE. Yes, you read that correctly – MICE! It was absolutely appalling to see that the restaurant had allowed such a blatant lapse in cleanliness and food safety. This incident completely killed our appetites and left us wondering about the overall sanitation of the establishment.
The management's response to this revolting situation was equally unsatisfactory. While they did replace the tainted pita bread after we complained, they seemed to think that this minor gesture was sufficient to make up for the distressing experience we had undergone. To add insult to injury, the best they could offer in terms of compensation was a mere 10% (50 SEK) discount on the dishes and a cup of coffee or tea. It felt like they were trying to downplay the severity of the situation and sweep their negligence under the rug.
Feeling cornered and grossed out, we reluctantly accepted their lackluster offer, but refused the coffee/tea. We managed to eat only about two-thirds of our food before completely losing our appetites due to the unsettling encounter with the mice-infested pita bread. It's unsettling to think about what else might be going on in the restaurant's kitchen if something as glaring as this could occur in the dining area.
All in all, my experience at Tabbouli Djurgården was nothing short of a disaster. The management's inadequate response to the rodent contamination and their dismissive attitude towards our concerns left us deeply disappointed. I would strongly caution anyone considering dining at this restaurant to think twice before stepping foot inside. The combination of mediocre service and a blatant disregard for hygiene standards make this a dining establishment to avoid at all costs.
Edit: Reply to the restaurant.
Thank you for your response. I want to clarify that the plastic bag containing the pita bread had a visible hole, indicating rodent damage. This was not caused by a knife, but rather by mice. While I understand your commitment to hygiene and guidelines, the evidence I observed during my visit...
Read moreWe had a very NEGATIVE experience at Tabbouli yesterday. We were seated at table number 5, and unfortunately, the only friendly and attentive staff member we encountered was the young woman who initially served us.
Our cocktails arrived first. The amaretto sour was significantly underfilled, barely reaching half the glass, and the virgin mojito was primarily ICE. Once our food arrived, the 'responsible' approached us in a loud and unprofessional manner and he said that the guy who led us to this table heard wrong and our table was number 25. He demanded that we move to another table, claiming we shouldn't have been seated at table 5 in the first place. He offered a coffee or desert as a form of apology, but did so in an offensive and degrading way!!!! Unfortunately, this rude behavior was consistent with all the other wait staff, with the exception of the friendly blonde girl I mentioned earlier.
We moved to the other table and paid the entire bill, despite the restaurant's clear error. However, they never followed through on their offer of complimentary coffee or dessert as an apology.
It is quite clear that their focus lies solely on profit and catering to high-spending customers. As a result, we weren't treated with the same respect. We strongly recommend reading online reviews before visiting this restaurant!!!

Read moreDon’t go as a vegan or if you have allergies . I was the only vegan in a company of more than 8. According the server it says on their website that you have to pick from their whole taster-menu (avsmakningsmeny) and can’t pick what you want, when you are in a larger company. So I had to pick the shared tasters with the meat eaters in my company.
When the food arrived, they put vegetarian options in front of me and I assumed it was vegan since I had mentioned multiple times that I only eat vegan. Turns out I ended up eating cheese sticks and god knows what else. Back home with a stomach ache and paid 500kr for it.
Very cozy atmosphere, but I think they’re too busy to handle vegan customers or allergies. So I would highly advise against going there as a vegan in the company of meat eaters or...
