Café Linné — Restaurant in Uppsala kommun

One of the employees that worked there on 07/09 is not meant for this job. They refused to speak English to me even when they realized I couldn’t speak Swedish, and it wasn’t because they didn’t know English. I had to say “Sorry?” multiple times so that they would repeat what they said in English. The cafe closes at 10 pm and at 9:20 am they came to pick up my plate, sat and watched me drink my water so they would pick up my glass as well. Finally, at 9:40 am without mentioning that they are taking last orders or that they are closing, as they do at any other normal cafe, they just turned off the lights at the area I was sitting. How do you work at hospitality and lack basic hospitality skills and respect? I used to work at customer service and I would get fired on the spot if I treated a customer like this. Of course they are not interested in making a career out of this job and they don’t take it seriously, but the owners need to be more careful about who they have working for them. Based on the food and coffee this place with weight 5 Stars. It's also very nicely located near the Linn a gardens on a quiet mostly pedestrian Street.

my reservation, and it's a fairly big one is that the furniture is in a terrible repair the padded chairs are filthy dirty and often the seams are torn open with the insulation showing and the tables are too high and relationship with the chairs which makes it rather uncomfortable with many of places that you can sit. You sort of feel like you can put in a child seat. if the owner's would invest in some new or even good quality old furniture it would take this place from a three point something to a solid 4 point something maybe even a 5. I will definitely go back and recommend the cakes and sandwiches, but I would do some more often if a little care and upkeep were put in and some clean and reasonably intact seating...

I am a tourist from Dubai, a city that I believe has the most beautiful, luxurious , cozy cafes! But when I saw cafe linne for the first time, I felt like, yes this is the place I would like to spend my time there! It has a wide range of hot to cold drinks and various kinds of pastries, I have not tried any food there but regarding the rest of the menu I am definitely satisfied. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, nice furniture and windows which have street view . The only problem I can mention is some of the furnitures look stained and not very clean.
