A hidden gem in Baden :) Shlomo is a must-try! We had dinner at Shlomo last night, and I’m still dreaming about the food! 😋 We ordered the mezze and every single dish was packed with flavour, fresh, vibrant, and perfectly seasoned. But it’s not just the food that wowed us, the ambiance was spot on. The interior design is warm, stylish, and super cozy. We felt instantly relaxed the moment we walked in. Whether you’re catching up with friends or on a romantic date night, this place hits the mark. Honestly, it’s one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we’ve had in a while. Thanks again Shlomo team :) Can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend! 😊

Shlomo Oriental restaurant in Baden is a must-visit for authentic, high-quality Middle Eastern cuisine. From delicious Mezze to expertly grilled dishes, they cater to all tastes, with vegetarian options available. The ambiance blends modern and oriental styles, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The service is outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff, and the owner often adds a personal touch. Don't miss the homemade lentil soup, mixed Mezze plate, or the Shlomo Spiess. For a sweet treat, try the Harisa or Baklawa. Reservations are recommended!

If I rate the food it’s a 5 shame that the waitress was always in a hurry and even a bit rude when we were asking for explanations of the menu, they gave us food that we didn’t order as well and when we payed we all agreed that the prices are too high. Nevertheless the food was good and the location is nice.

TL;DR: Very delicious food Nice Coffee Friendly staff and rapid service Pleasant atmosphere (only for Lamb) I'd like a bit more Lamb Neutral: Baklava was very sweet, not for everyone, I liked it

Had some really tasty food.  Lots of different stuff to try, which was cool.  The cocktails were good, though the sugar wasn't totally dissolved – not sure if that was on purpose or not.  The chai was nice.  Baklava was super sweet; I liked it, but it might be a bit much for some.  Everything was seasoned well.  There wasn't a ton of lamb, but what was there was cooked perfectly and went great with the rice. Dinner was a real treat, with a wide spread of yummy dishes.  Everything seemed carefully put together, with a nice mix of flavors and textures.  There was something for everyone, from the main courses to the desserts.  The cocktails were a nice touch, well-mixed and full of flavor.  One small thing: the sugar in the cocktails wasn't completely dissolved, so there was a little bit of a grainy texture.  Didn't really ruin the drinks, though.  The chai was a highlight – perfectly brewed and just the right amount of spice.  It was rich and flavorful and left a nice aftertaste.  The baklava was really good, too.  Flaky pastry, lots of nuts, and tons of syrup with a scoop of ice cream – a great mix of textures and sweetness.  Might be a tad too sweet for some, though.  It's worth mentioning that everything was seasoned perfectly; you could tell the chef knows their spices.  Each bite showed how much care went into balancing the flavors in each dish.  The lamb portion was a little small, but the quality was top-notch.  It was cooked just right – tender and juicy – showing the chef's skill with this kind of meat.  The rice that came with it was perfect – its mild flavor complemented the lamb without taking over.  The rice was cooked perfectly, light and fluffy, a nice contrast to the...

English:

We had reserved a table for three at Shlomo and had already indicated at the time of reservation that one person has a gluten allergy. The next day, we ordered a Shlomo platter for three people with twelve plates. Since there is both a vegetarian and a meat option, we decided on meat – but with the request to receive only two meat plates and the rest mostly gluten-free. The waiter also assured us that gluten-free bread was available.

In the end, twelve vegetarian plates were served. The waiter could only tell us, after we asked, which of them were gluten-free. He initially said the bread was gluten-free. When we asked why we did not receive any meat, we were only told that it was “either or.” Unfortunately, this was not communicated to us at the time of ordering or when the dishes were served.

My colleague then ate some of the bread, trusting the waiter’s statement. Later it turned out that the bread did in fact contain gluten. He had to go to a pharmacy to get an emergency medication, which was not in stock. The result is now one week of discomfort and flu-like symptoms.

We received gluten-free bread only after asking twice and waiting 30 minutes – it had to be bought first. The evening ended in disappointment. On the bill, we were first charged the full price, even though my colleague could hardly eat anything and we were misinformed several times. Only after my intervention was a reduction of 20 CHF granted.

Conclusion: I will definitely not eat at Shlomo again. The waiters seemed overwhelmed, the prices are very high, and hospitality does not seem to be a priority. The food was overall okay, but by no...
