We visited this very nice cafe in a weekend bist to Basel. The coffee was really tasty and well prepared. The offer also some nice variety of snacks and sweets. The croissants were good but could be more fresh. Service was fast and professional. The design is interesting and in general a nice place to stop by for a coffee. There is some room for improvement on the cleanliness of the tables that is why the 4 stars. I do nevertheless recommend you to try it as the coffee is good.

Inconspicuous from the outside ... a mixture of office, family coffee shop, neighbourhood meeting place and hipster hangout on the inside. Excellent coffee products (specialty coffee) are almost a matter of course when you know that the Kaffee Macher:Innen from Basel stand behind them. Everything is completely relaxed but at a high level. A good selection of baked goods.

The best Café of Basel, especially if you‘re looking for specialty coffee/filter coffee and local products. Staff is very friendly - in particular I wanna highlight the service of „Sarah“ as she‘s always remembering me and serving me my favourite summer beverage Coldbrew+Tonic with the mise en place how I like it (thank you so much Sarah!).

Wow! Young and hip spot with a seriously good menu. Both food and coffee drinks. Super trendy space inside and out. Shakshuka was a revelation, especially with their tasty bread to dip in it. Seems to be in an up and coming / gentrifying neighborhood and worth the trek from the old town or nearby tram/trolly stops.

Speciality coffee roasts well-poured, but barista skills lacking, esp. on the milk frothing department. A little disappointing considering the reputation of Kaffee Macher. Pastries are okay, but nothing to write home about. Friendly service though and a nice large terrace.

I enjoyed the spot, my coffee and the pastry were so good! Great place to visit alone, with friends, to work or read🫰🏻
