Union Diner Gundeldingen — Restaurant in Basel

This is a place that you need to avoid, if you care about your health. The burgers are ok, nothing special and a bit overpriced. But the real problem is the standard in the kitchen, particularly the plates and bowls. As you can see in the picture, the bowl is horribly chipped and damaged. This was not an exception and I saw many other plates and bowl that are in a similar condition. Small pieces are released into the food as you are eating! This is highly toxic material and definitely against health and safety regulations. I mentioned the problem to them. They do not seem to care and did not even apologize. If they are comfortable serving food in this manner to customers, imagine what standard they keep in preparing and making the food. Think about your health and go...

Today my husband and I had the misfortune of visiting the Union Diner located in Meret Oppenheim-Platz, the cashier accused us of theft, she was totally unbalanced, we paid the bill and she accused us of theft, it was strangely shameful and humiliating to go through this situation, we left home to have a good dinner and we had the biggest disappointment, we have never experienced a situation like this in our entire lives. Love your food but this kind of shady fake uber eats deal is scummy and terrible.

For example a menu would cost typically around chf30, and you often would run 2for1 deals with 2 menus or 2 burgers in the past, and it would be around 30 chf or so, which is a great deal and I have ordered many times, but this is new, you're increasing the base-price over 40chf, and hoping someone falls into the trap thinking its...
