VITO Gundeli - Pizzeria — Restaurant in Basel

We visited this place because we were told by some friends that VITO's pizza is awesome, but unfortunately the place at Basel SBB was already closed by the time we reached the station. We therefore decided to visit VITO Gundeli, which is 5 minutes a way from the train station and offers places to sit both inside and outside.

I'll tell you right away, my experience here was amazing.

Despite the high prices for a pizza slice (we ended up paying 47 CHF for 2 colas and three slices of pizza), you soon realize that in the end it's not that expensive: we made the "mistake" of getting 3 slices (a big one and two small ones), but we were already full and almost didn't finish the first two slices. The staff gave us a box to bring the food home and now we have yet another tasty meal for lunch tomorrow. The pizzas and the "Fritz Kola" were very good, worth every penny.

Every employee is friendly, as well as the store owner. I'll definitely visit this place again. Thanks...

Hey boys and girls that are reading this review! What to say about Vitos, its a place that you can take offcourse a pizza and well A PIZZA, wether is for a single portion wich is quite big or a, as i like to call it family or friends portion its the place to go!!! They have an originality that you will quite like!!! The downside in this all business is that there is very limited room to sit when you order the beast (crowdy but for your youngsters is propably fun), prices are a bit on the expensive since you can find much better options for pizza and much more tasty.... Then again some people will say its normal for Swiss...I am disagreeing. A for originality and i deffinately recomment it for an evening snack of different...

I love their pizzas, we always go or order there. The service is very good, but last Friday I called and requested having the pizza in 2 small boxes instead of the big one because I’m on a bike (I’ve done it many times and no problem at all), she tells me they have to put it on the big one in the first place but will transfer it when I’m there. When I get there the woman in glasses that attends me is not coping very well with the busy time, and when I ask her she puts an annoyed face, and not customer friendly at all. She was not treating the boxes nicely and I was quite disappointed. I didn’t tell her anything but it looked unprofessional. I am your customer, you are not doing any favor to me, I pay...
