Basel is in serious need of a decent Asian restaurant. Despite good reviews I tried their take away tonight. Sharing starter dish attempted to offer several differed samosa, dumplings and spring rolls, for 2 people. It was all very deeply fried, brown and almost indistinguishable from one another. Simply awful greasy and amateurish. A supermarket spring roll would taste better. The main (popular) dish was chicken sweet and sour. We rarely give low ratings but this was such a disappointing experience I feel like I need to share it. We ordered from this restaurant and what was delivered was burned, old (i.e. reheated) and terrible tasting food. It was clearly not fresh and even looked unappetizingly old. This is a lovely little gem that we discovered by accident. The owners saw us standing outside an hr before they opened, so they invited us in and opened the kitchen. The owners couldn't speak English, but with a lot of laughter and pointing, we figured it out and ordered. The food was absolutely delicious, and the customer service was very good, which meant we had a really good meal and experience.
