Today, we had a workshop near Mittelstrasse in Bern, at the Swisscom building. Normally, we grab a salad at the bakery close to "Mittlestrass 10." However, I suggested to my colleagues that we explore what else the neighborhood has to offer.
We walked further down the street and discovered a charming cafe and another bakery with a pharmacy attached. Unfortunately, neither of these places offered lunch. Just as we were about to give up and return to our usual bakery for a delicious, healthy salad, I decided to look around the corner. There, I saw a sign for "Curry Legend," and told my colleagues it looked like a Sri Lankan lunch place. We decided to check it out.
Instead of opting for takeaway, we chose to sit down and enjoy our lunch out of a plate. The menu was small and concise, which we found very appealing—less confusion, more enjoyment. We all enjoyed the lunch immensely and agreed that stepping out of our comfort zone led to a great discovery.
Key Takeaways:
Exploration Leads to Discovery: Stepping out of our routine led us to a delightful new lunch spot. Simple Menus Work: A concise menu can enhance the dining experience by making choices straightforward and enjoyable. Enjoying the Experience: Taking the time to dine in rather than opting for takeaway can enhance the overall meal experience.
Recommendations for "Curry Legend":
Add a Sri Lankan Salad Variant: Introducing a colorful Sri Lankan salad as a main dish would add variety and appeal to health-conscious customers. Maintain the Simple Menu: Continue offering a concise menu to avoid overwhelming customers and maintain the charm of the dining experience.
Overall, it was a very good lunch. With the addition of a Sri Lankan salad variant, the menu could be even better. Cheers to new discoveries and...
Read moreHad dinner here and it was very nice. Friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Vegetarian curry, dahl and vegetable curry were very tasty, also the coconut roti - just as in Sri-Lanka. Owner was friendly and food was quickly ready. Only the portion size of the veggies was way to small for me - but I eat lots of vegetables, so maybe this is different for other people. Overall, I can totally recommend it if you are looking for a quick, warm, healthy and rather cheap meal....
