So, I'm not sure I can adequately put into words just how amazing our stay here was, but here goes... I stayed here for 5 nights in September last year with my sister. We booked a charming king room which was spectacular! The bathroom was the biggest I have seen in a hotel, with a full tub, large walk in shower with a massive rain water shower head and small bench, and separate toilet. The room was spacious with a Juliet balcony (we didn't have the doors open as we visited during a heat wave) and roller shutters over the doors (very appreciated to keep the heat and direct sun out). We received welcome drinks and petit fours on arrival to our room, a turn down service every night (which we didn't have to ask for but was very much welcome), and actually had our tea and milk replaced daily! We ate at each of the restaurants during our stay. Our room rate included buffet breakfast and I enjoyed the little titbits of information given about some of the food and drink available (such as, the honey comes from the onsite hives and the bread comes from a local artisan bakery). Dinner at Jack's Brasserie of course included Jack's Weiner Schnitzel (delicious) and desert (amazing). We ate at the Sky Terrace pop-up restaurant, which at the time was Filipino themed - staff were friendly and the food was lovely. Book in early if they have another pop-up as it was fully booked every day we were there. Then, after returning late from a day trip to Zermatt, we had a quick dinner in the lobby. I have to agree with another reviewer and recommend their club sandwich. The hotel is directly across the road from the train station and a short walk from the main shopping and dining precinct. Bern was our second last city stay in Switzerland (we moved to Geneva then flew home), and I honestly wish this had been our last city to visit. Our hotel in Geneva could not even come close to competing with our stay at Hotel Schweizerhof and I must say, I seriously would have considered staying here and doing day trips to Geneva and surrounds if it wouldn't have been majorly inconvenient. I would stay here in a heartbeat if...

We had a very warm and friendly checkin by Lisa. We were early so we left our bags and went out. Upon our return we were assigned room 501 (a Boutique Junior Suite). A lovely spacious room with a king bed, sofa bed, work desk, Japanese tub that has a tv /mirror, walk in shower, separate toilet, lovely aromatherapy products. if you checkin early and the room is unavailable you can use the spa before hand. Alternatively after check out you can leave your luggage and enjoy the spa as well.||Tthe gym was well equipped. ||The spa was great with a heated vitality pool, a Hannam, sauna, experience showers, nice water beds to relax with some TWG teas; fruit instilled water and mites, dried apple and delicious dates. We loved the experience.||We turned in the "make our room" sign and went out for dinner. Upon our return the room was turned down with slippers by the bedside tables, Tartufino dolce chocolates and still or bubbly water.||USB C and usb a port on both side of the bed frame was really handy, as were the power points on each side.||A quick call to housekeeping and we were addressed by our surname and and we were able to find the hidden kettle (near the mini bar) and hair dyer (in a discreet drawer in the vanity unit).||The room had Ample clothes hanger s and storage space.||There were lovely TWG Teas in the room which we had before bed.||Breakfast was great with some very nice pastries, cold cuts, fresh fruit and juices, coffee and some nice hot egg dishes cooked to your liking. The boiled egg, poached egg and omelette was delicious. Service was great and friendly.||Check out was nice and friendly and we were given some delicious Berner Mandelberli cakes.||Just note the hotel does charge a security fee upon check in that should be reversed upon check out. ||Wifi 36.9 down and 29.7 up.||We would...

We spent a city break weekend on August 14th to 17th in Bern, and stayed at the Schweizerhof Bern & Spa hotel.|The location of the hotel is excellent. Bahnhofplatz is right in the city center, close to the river (if you want to have a swim) as well Bärenplatz & Marktgasse, where the heart of this picturesque city beats.|We stayed at Deluxe type room and there was not really anything to complain about. The room was cozy and designed in a stylish manner. Complementary water, coffee, tea, etc. were available with no restraints. The service team cleaned it twice a day with very satisfying results. |The sleep quality was superb, and although our windows overlooked the Bahnhofplatz, we did not hear any noises, most likely due to soundproof windows. |However, if you don't like being watched while using the restroom, you might be slightly disappointed, as there is a huge mirror right in front of the toilette bowl 😉 Feels weird.|The service quality was good, the front desk staff was informative, although the hotel might consider staffing the night shift with slightly more competent officers. We had one issue to clear after 23:00 o'clock and the only answer we got was "please come in the morning". This frustrating impression was made up by the restaurant team however – very friendly and courteous people.|We had breakfasts in the hotel and they were really delicious. Large selection of cheese, cold cuts, fruits, breads and desserts. The "a la carte" dishes list was long and interesting – we tried a few of them and they were great. |The overall impression of the Schweizerhof Bern & Spa hotel is very good. It is definitely a friendly and reliable spot on the Swiss capital's map. Our rate is...

An exceptional place in Bern. We came from Poland with two dogs, and the room was already fully equipped without us having to remind anyone - bowls and a sleeping area were prepared. In the lobby, we were greeted with two cans of treats with the hotel's logo. A detail that brings a smile We stayed for 5 nights from May 19th to 24th. I will always fondly remember the staff. Tiago was very helpful in many matters - he recommended a walk to Rosengarten, which did not disappoint us at all, but we mostly spent a good few minutes daily just chatting about everything and nothing. A very warm and friendly person. Always smiling, sincere, and I am incredibly sorry that we didn't get a chance to say goodbye when leaving the hotel The manager of Sky Terrace and the bar, Krystian, recommended the best drink options. As it turned out later, he is the author of the menu. I personally recommend trying the Bubble Bath, a beautifully served refreshing drink We had a room on the top floor. Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, it doesn't have air conditioning. We asked to change from a very sunny room to a shaded one, and without any problems, we were able to choose a new room. The bathrooms were very spacious and clean. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to spend time on the Sky Terrace, but we did manage to spend a few lovely hours by the pool (I personally recommend coming fairly early - until 2 PM there's no one there) We will remember this stay for a long time; I can even say it "spoiled" us, and now we are definitely sure of how a real 5-star hotel should operate. We will certainly meet again in the near future

The hotel is convenient to several places to visit. It is also very close to the train station. Lots of restaurants and stores to do some shopping. The only surprise to me was how many people approached us for money every time I went to go walk/shop. This is a noisy area, but the hotel does a great job of shutting out the noise with the metal rollups that you can push a button to close. The staff was helpful, patient, and kind both at reception and spa. You made our 33rd anniversary memorable!
