WerkStadt Lorraine — Restaurant in Bern

It was my first time visiting the cafe, and it honestly left a bad impression. The food was okay and the look of the cafe was nice but the service was atrocious. You can only order at the bar. At the time we went, it was very busy, so that meant waiting for quite a long time, but that wasn't so bad yet and I generally didn't have a problem with that. When it was finally my turn to order, though, I was first ignored and left stading there for quite some time until someone asked what I wanted. After I ordered I wanted to pay and I was told I should pay later. Big mistake - ask them to pay immediately if you visit this place! I say that because, after we were done, I asked to pay and was told I needed to pay at the bar, meaning I again had to wait in the huge line. That was quite a negative surprise. Very unorganised. I strongly suggest that they figure out another system to attend to people or at least don't tell people to pay later so we don't need to...

Very friendly neighbourhood coffee place with disappointing drinks. Casual, industrial look vibe, with outdoor seating in front, and back courtyard. Unfortunately on out last visit the drinks were very disappointing: the coffee was so sour as to be undrinkable, and the Chai latte was so watery it had virtually no flavor. Won't be coming...
