If you want Indian Food In Bern, this is the place don't go anywhere else.
Normally, I don't write review for any hotels as I feel am paying them to get good service. I have visited Bern for 4 days and found this restaurant. It has very nice food , friendly staff , authenticated Indian taste and very reasonable rate. Now you are thinking what is different from others. During journey my 8 years old daughter started feeling sick however I bought food for her thinking she likes Indian meal, which she just tasted as she is not well. As soon as owner knew that my daughter is not feeling well, she prepared juice without asking served on the table for her. She liked Juice and we requested to make fresh orange juice and they prepared fresh orange juice for her. I am very thankful and they had taken very good care of their customer. When I went to pay the bill they didn't not even billed for my daughter's food and Juice, when I requested at least take money then she said "Family is more important then the business" we should not look always for Money. Their friendliness and good attitude towards the customer satisfactions, I had to write this...
Read moreAfter reading such positive review about Indian food, service and environment, we made a reservation yesterday. When we entered into the restaurant we felt us like an abandon. After several minutes of waiting the service guy came to us and asked what he can do for us. I told him about reservation and he showed us the place to seat and he left. Around 10min of waiting he came with the menu card and again left, probably after 10min of waiting he came to ask about order. The foods arrived after long waiting time, probably after 30min..
The Chicken Biriyani was more than horrible# #my guest could eat only few spoons.. Chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and chicken korma was so so, or below our expectations.
The service guy himself was nice but I assume due to his huge workload the waiting time was so lengthy. Literally he had to serve whole or majority of restaurant. They should increase more service personal.
As a regular Indian food tester, I assume the cook at least not enough skilled at least what items we ordered.
According to the price of foods; the quality and quantity are...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Namaste India in Bern, and it was a fantastic experience. They offer a lunch buffet that’s not only great value but also a wonderful way to sample a variety of authentic Indian dishes.
I especially enjoyed the chicken curry and rajma masala — both were rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and tasted homemade. The chicken was tender, and the rajma (kidney beans) had a hearty, comforting taste that reminded me of traditional North Indian cooking. The buffet was well-stocked and fresh, with plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options to choose from.
The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. Whether you’re new to Indian cuisine or a longtime fan, Namaste India is definitely worth a visit. I’ll happily be...
