This is a restaurant we usually visit when we are in Locarno. But today, it was exceptionally bad food and service. I should have known when they tried to seat us in the sun instead if under the large umbrella, which had plenty of seating available. I regret not getting pictures before returning it. We ordered the Caprice salad. The chefs version of this popular dish is a frozen tomato sliced in half, with mozzarella and a basil sauce. It was difficult enough to cut through the tomato, but it was even worse as it thawed out and disintegrated as we tried to enjoy a bite. We also ordered the tuna bowl. Now, before all the haters start in on ordering a dish like this in an Italianrestaurant, the waiter recommended it. The tuna is a VERY small portion. Just under a spoon full. The rice was hard as a rock. It was probably a couple days old, the mango was very hard, and the edamame was old. We brought up these issues with the waiter, and he completely dismissed them. The Service was friendly and welcoming. We ordered a large mix salad, it was very small , nice dressing Pumpkin soup. Small portion. Just ok Little squid , not good and the 5 strips of fish not much to say about that either. All of that for $128 dollars. I totally understand the reason that food is so expensive in Switzerland, still quality is important. I don’t mind paying good money for good food.
