Dear Alpenclub,
I am writing to express my utter disappointment with the service I received during my first visit to your establishment earlier today. As someone who values good dining experiences, I must say that my encounter at your restaurant was far from satisfactory.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, I eagerly anticipated a delicious meal. However, as the evening unfolded, it became increasingly clear that your staff lacked the professionalism and attentiveness one would expect from a reputable establishment.
Firstly, I must point out that the waiter assigned to our table completely missed serving my dish. Not only was this a significant oversight on their part, but what disappointed me even more was the lack of an apology or acknowledgement of their mistake. It is disheartening to see such a disregard for basic customer service etiquette.
To add insult to injury, when I brought the matter to the attention of your manager, their response was less than satisfactory. Instead of offering an apology or attempting to rectify the situation, they simply brushed it off with a dismissive attitude and a nonchalant "what did you order" remark. This lack of accountability and customer care further tarnished my dining experience.
I want to emphasize that my disappointment stems not only from the mishap with my dish but also from the lack of accountability displayed by both the waiter and the manager. It is unacceptable for such behavior to go unaddressed, as it reflects poorly on your establishment as a whole.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and take the necessary steps to improve your customer...
Read moreI love to visit Swiss restaurants in mountain villages and i have been to hundreds of them ,almost every weekend.Going to this restaurant i had the feeling that i will pay double price compared eating to a Swiss city but the quality would be top. My friend ordered this beef and the rice was not well cooked but almost raw,it can happen of course. We informed the waitress and she was immediately willing to change it. Instead of bringing us one new portion of boiled rice, they fried it ,so that not throw it to the bin. Not even the worst restaurant in China follow this practice. We paid each plate 44 and 46 chf with expectations for top quality and big portions but didn't meet the requirements. Meat was also tough and cut in slices, proving that it was average quality. I checked also people around me and 90% were eating pizza, which seems to be their speciality and few of them Gordon Blues. None were eating veal fillet or beef, apart from us. It's not bad but not special also. With such prices the quality should be better. I have to admit that beef tartar was really good ,despite the egg yolk was not fresh, but was sitting in tartar in the fridge for long time. The atmosphere average, probably in summer in veranda...
Read moreWe had a great dining experience thanks to the exceptional service from our waiter, Abian. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, warm, and professional. His recommendations were spot-on — both for food and wine — and really elevated our meal. It’s clear he takes pride in what he does, and it made a huge difference in our evening.
We did have a bit of a strange moment earlier with someone we assumed was a manager, Manuel, who seemed rather indifferent. He served a glass of wine in the same glass that had already been used for a different wine — which was surprising, especially in a place with otherwise high standards. Thankfully, Abian more than made up for it with his care and attention.
All in all, it was a memorable night, and that’s largely thanks to Abian’s fantastic service. Would definitely return — just hope Abian is...
