Chanaan — Restaurant in Geneva

I was heading home with my husband when I noticed a light on in a restaurant that had been closed for a year (at least since we moved to the area). Out of curiosity, I went closer to see what was happening. The Chinese restaurant had reopened its doors.

I stopped to check the menu and saw that they had one of my favorite dishes: spicy soup. Right away, a lovely lady noticed us and invited us inside. The service was impeccable, and the food was served very quickly. We each had a spicy soup, and we shared the main dish.

Over the years, I’ve eaten at various Chinese restaurants in different countries, but this one was by far the best.

The prices are very reasonable for the quality and taste of the food, and I hope they stay that way in the future. I truly hope to see this place full of customers soon.

I still can’t stop thinking about the spicy soup… and my husband about the crispy duck. Everything was absolutely delicious!

I’m Chinese, and this is the best place I’ve found in Geneva or Lausanne for authentic, spicy Sichuan food! I’ve been here twice now and everything I’ve tried has been great. The salt and pepper prawns are delish, and all dishes with Sichuan peppercorn are great (you’ll need to ask which ones have it). One of the chefs is from Sichuan and the other specializes in Cantonese cuisine. And the owner is super sweet and speaks English very well! AND they’re even open...

The food was abysmal, no idea how this place has so many good reviews. Click farms? Ordered crispy and spicy chicken but received sweet cashew chicken instead, which was of such poor quality that I could not finish it. Also ordered noodles sautéed with chicken which was definitely not fresh and tasted like styrofoam. Both dishes were served in less than 5 minutes, making us wonder about the standards of...
