Chez Kei — Restaurant in Geneva

Certainly a place I cannot recommend, and that I hope to forget soon. Just mediocre, third class food in a first class city. Possibly, also the worst asian restaurant I've tried around the world (considering the cheaper and the more expensive ones), and clearly the worst one I visited in the city. The soup I ordered was ok (just a plain ok), but the noodles weren't correct nor satisfying at all, I barely touched them. We soon left the restaurant in order to not waste our night, find a better place to have dinner, and forget about the experience. To make things worse, the owner's arrogant attitude facing one friend's, a customer's, opinion about the food they served was also questionable and unprofessional, as are the answers online. If Chez Kei has any hope of recovering the good fame they once had I recommend them to travel, compare their dishes, and reconsider if they really rise to the challenge. Extremely poor with an unapologetic owner which would seem to be in line with the aggressive responses I have seen from him on this website. They took a reservation at 1pm by phone and the owner welcomed us personally and then rushed us to leave less than 45 minutes later (staff kept telling us the owner wants to close). We deliberately paid our bill and left a tip before complaining to avoid the accusation of being “cheap” as a I have seen he has made at others who have complained about the same/similar issues. Disgraceful in every way. My husband and I went here for a nice lunch and we were rushed out completely. I made the reservation for 1pm and before 2pm, the staff were hurrying us out the door. They even brought us coffee that we didn’t order with the bill (that they charged us for) while we still had a glass of wine. The owner was extremely rude and unapologetic saying they close at 2pm and it was his staff who made a mistake by accepting a reservation at 1pm. Although it was the owner that welcomed us at 1pm and didn’t explain we had 45 minutes to order eat and leave. This is the worst treatment we have had in a restaurant in Geneva and 20 years.
