On entry, Luigia gives off classy Italian vibes. People laughing, and waiters running around to the customers order seem to be a main theme of well known eatery. The menus seem to be solely phone based, which I am personally not a fan of. The restaurant is fairly loud, with many children running amuck, to the extent of a corner with arcade games being set aside for them. If you want a quieter scene here, an indoor terrace is possible, which is much quieter. According to my sources, the woman’s bathroom is quite clean and nice, however the Men’s bathroom was a bit dirty. We had to wait around 15 minutes for a waiter to approach us, only after we had called them over. The bar area is nice, with Italian drinks being the prominent theme. Food: Octopus- The octopus was fairly standard, and not so chewy for the type of meat. 7/10 Calamari- Nice and crisp with a lemony hint. The sauce served along with it was “heavenly” and “better than usual”. 8.5/10 Lasagna- Good, but not amazing. Falls under basic meat lasagna. Calzone- 9/10 Salty Capers and Olives complimented the cheese wonderfully, and left a perfect bite every time. (Side note) We didn’t receive the Calzone after quite some time, but after we alerted the waiter, she was very apologetic and brought it out in minimal time. Salad(s)- 5/10 Basic and could easily be made at home. Alright, but not worth the price. Tiramisu- 7/10 Standard yet solid. Definitely worth getting after a hearty meal Chocolat Gelato- 8.5/10 Sweet and creamy. Great price and taste OTHER INFO Appetizers came quick, but entrees did take a while Waiters were nice and apologetic If you tell the waiters it’s your birthday, a surprise will come :) Conclusion- While certainly not the greatest in Genève, Luigia is a kid friendly place with unmistakable Italian hints. Good for birthdays / moderately...

What an awful experience! We arrived at a decent hour to get a table quickly. The experience started well. We ordered starters to share that arrived pretty quickly. Then the nightmare begun. We waited almost an hour and half to be served 2 of the most common plates (carbonara and Bolognese pasta). Though the food was tasty, we had to ask 3 times for the main course. Every time, the steward was saying that it will arrive in less than 10min. I didn't know pasta were that long to cook. Especially when we saw 5 to 8 tables near us that arrived well after us being served (pasta again! And sometimes the same dishes we ordered) before us! When it started to really piss us up, we called the manager. Thankfully I think they saw our rage first and served us just minutes after but no sorry words were said. When we addressed our concerns at the lady during checkout, the only thing said was "I heard". How about some apologies?! That's a real shame. Working in the industry myself, I never saw such a poor sense of service and lack of respect. For a CHF 115- dinner, we would expect at least...

Most the of the order never arrived, and the part that arrived was dry and cold. The restaurant never called to explain that there was an issue with the order. We tried calling them several times and finally got a hold of someone called Lubna who made it clear that she did see our calls coming in but ignored the calls because she knew there was a problem but it wasn’t that branch’s fault, she was rude unprofessional and unhelpful. We called the other branch and the manager there mentioned that the order was too big for them to handle and had to split it over 2 drivers which apparently caused the issue. Which doesn’t explain why the part that was delivered was ice cold also this is not the first time we order as a group, Friday dinner takeout has been a tradition for our group for years, this is the first time a restaurant mentions that they had to split the order because it was too big. We were a party of 7 hoping to enjoy our Friday night, having to sort this out was extremely stressful and it ruined the evening. I would never order from Rive...

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent Focaccia bread pizza, and it was truly a standout. The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and held the toppings beautifully without getting soggy. What really made the experience special, though, was the service. Our waiter, who was half Tunisian and half French, was an absolute delight. His enthusiasm and energy were infectious, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. He was incredibly personable, helpful, and brought a lot of positive energy to the table, which really enhanced the whole dining experience. All in all, the pizza was fantastic, but it was the exceptional service that made the meal unforgettable. Highly recommend both the food and the staff!!

This was my first time at this location, though I’ve been to the one in Meyrin multiple times. The food was very good, but several small issues affected the overall experience. Our table was right in front of the bar, and since the restaurant was packed, a large group of people kept bumping into my chair. The starter arrived after the pizza, which made no sense. The noise level was also extreme—lots of kids running around and even dogs fighting! Overall, the service was good, and the food was great, but the restaurant’s organization during peak hours needs improvement (I’m specifically talking about the queue to be seated). Maybe if my table had been in a different spot, my experience would have been better.
