Coming from Southeast Asia, I know a thing or two of Indian cuisine and Indian hospitality.
My friend and I were at Indian Corner last Wednesday 10 April for dinner, it was our first time. The entire clientele was served by a single guy being the waiter, cashier and giving priority attending to uber deliveries.
We had to wait for 20 minutes before being asked our order. The lamb dish and saffron rice came relatively quickly compared to the time it took for the waiter to get our order suggesting it was not freshly made. Disappointingly the lamb must have been reheated multiple times - it was soft and literally disintegrated in the mouth even before we could begin to bite. The rice was mainly white in color and was absent of the safron fragrance. The prosecco ordered as appetizer arrived half-way while having our meal 😩.
At the end when the waiter presented the bill the lady drew his attention that the rice was white, although we ordered saffron rice. The waiter said it was the rice bought at Migros, brought his mobile, flashed the light to point out the 3 or 4 grains of yellow coloured rice. Surely, when paying chf 7 for a portion of saffron rice, one doesn't expect a few yellow grains but the entire portion to be yellow.
Overall conclusion- going once was enough of an...
Read moreOur recent takeaway experience was deeply disappointing and frustrating. We ordered four dishes, including meat, chicken, and salmon, and were unpleasantly surprised by the small portions we received. Despite paying 80 francs, the quantity of food was insufficient and left us feeling short-changed.
The quality of the food was equally dismal. All the meat, chicken, and salmon were extremely dry and lacked flavor. It was evident that little care had been taken in the preparation and cooking of these dishes, resulting in an unsatisfactory meal that was far below our expectations.
Given the high price and poor quality of the food, we feel completely robbed. This experience has left such a bad taste in our mouths that we will not be returning there. We strongly advise others to avoid this place and look elsewhere. Save your money and your taste – this restaurant...
Read moreA discovery made last night of this new indian restaurant located in eaux vives. We were nicely surprised. Very nice staff indeed as remarked by others. We ordered various vegetable dishes and a couple of plain naans for take away. The food was nicely packed in plastic containers that were sealed with plastic foli. A good way to avoid spilling while carrying the food home. Everything was nice hot and reasonable priced. The food tasted good and was very mildly spiced. We also enjoyed their lassi drink. The only part of the meal we liked lesser were the naan. These were nice hot but were rather thick. Overall we think this is a nice addition to the Indian restaurants in geneva and we will...
