An absolutely outstanding dining experience that far exceeded expectations!

We visited for the lunch menu on a Tuesday noon. It included an appetizer and three courses (two mains and a dessert) for 40 CHF per person. Of course, à la carte options are also available. The dinner menu is priced at 95 CHF per person.

I chose a glass of white wine with mineral notes. The wine selection was limited, but the taste was quite satisfying.

The interior design perfectly matched my aesthetic taste. I especially appreciated the restaurant’s choice of wooden and ceramic tableware, as well as the use of Sabre Paris cutlery.

The staff were polite and courteous, and the serving pace was within a normal and comfortable range.

I had wanted to visit this place since the end of last year but didn’t get the chance due to scheduling conflicts. I’m so glad I finally made it today — and even more delighted to see that the restaurant now proudly displays a Gault & Millau 14 plaque at the entrance....

The food menu is very limited, but definitely makes it an amazing experience! The quality of food, the taste, the presentation of the dishes is a 5⭐️ level.

A great selection of wines and a better hospitality from the owner himself and his wife.

They haven’t really worked on the interior decoration neither the atmosphere/ambiance, some marketing support and touch is needed to keep this not very well located restaurant a hit!

Keep up the great food coming, I’m definitely giving it another visit, you should too!

Matière is an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates farm-to-table style dining with a "gastro" flair and thoughtfully curated natural wines. The experience is immersive—expect to spend around three hours enjoying their beautifully crafted five-course menu, which changes daily. The chef's choice is the way to go—you won’t have to overthink it, just sit back and enjoy each impeccably prepared dish.

The food is delicious, both in flavor and presentation, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to quality ingredients and seasonality. The wine list is equally esoteric, featuring a diverse selection of natural and biodynamic wines that pair well with each course.
