Restaurant Arabesque — Restaurant in Geneva

I was part of a table of six that came for dinner on 2 Dec. While the food was good, the wait staff was nice, and the ambiance was on point, the actual service was well below average 👇🏽. For the price point of this restaurant in a top rated five-star hotel, the service was both incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Again, the wait staff were nice but it was obvious they have not been provided the training needed to be professional in their craft.

Few examples:

1. My friend requested a cocktail be made with tequila rather than rum. When she specifically asked which tequila would be used, the waiter's response was something to the effect of, "I don't know. That's done at the bar." The waiter did not offer to even check, and my friend had to specifically ask him to do this. It was frustrating that we had to press the staff to provide such basic information.

2. We ordered at least 6-7 appetizers that were meant to be eaten with pita bread. Yet we had to ask for the bread THREE times between two separate wait staff. The staff or kitchen were soo slow that we didn't even get any bread until we were more than halfway through the appetizers! Add to that, the bread was cold. For the amount of time and chasing staff it took to get this, at minimum it could have been a quality product.

3. It was only when we were more than halfway through the main course that the waiter offered to provide us toasted pita, noting it was very good. I don't understand why this was offered at the very beginning of our meal.

For a restaurant that is part of a five-star hotel, we all assessed the staff were having an off day. The restaurant was barely at 40 percent capacity so it's not as if they were overwhelmed with too many customers.

Overall, for the price point and five star affiliation of this restaurant, it was not remotely worth it due to the well below average service. I am therefore, unfortunately, unable to recommend...

The restauranti is nice and cozy and it's located in one of the most charming hotels in Geneva.

The staff is very pleasant: they welcomed us with a big smile and they attended us in an impeccable way explaining us the menu and guiding us through the different plates Advised by the waiter, we chose the tasting menu to be able to taste a bit of everything and it was literally like that: many little plates coming out from the kitchen, one better than the other from both taste and appearance.

The bests? Humus (super good! never tried one like this before), Moutabal (very delicate and tasty), mixed grill (high quality meat) and, completely unexpected, a delicate tasty pistache dessert, something that you'd...

Bonjour, Je suis venue hier le 6 novembre 2022 pour le 60eme anniversaire de ma maman. L’organisation de son anniversaire s’est bien déroulée. Néanmoins, des détails sont à relever lorsqu’il s’agit d’un établissement de cette renommée.

Nous avons commandé un apéritif que nous n’avons pas pu déguster avec les mises en bouche puisque les boissons sont arrivées en même temps que les entrées….

C’est fâcheux quand on sait que le prix de l’apéritif est autour de 20-25.- par verre et qu’on ne peut pas en profiter pleinement.

Les quantités des mezzes chaud ou froid sont minimes, lorsque l’on paient 16.-CHF des pommes de terre rissolées et qu’il y a une petite coupelle, je trouve cela exagéré. Les crevettes orientales il y en avait 6 pour CHF 24.- la aussi c est dommage. La nourriture orientale est généreuse et la ce n’était pas ca.

La photo du plat du loup sur votre site internet est un peu une publicité mensongère, lorsqu’on s’attend à un beau filet de loup entourée de sa sauce au sesame et qu’on a autre chose c est la encore dommage.

Les plats sont délicieux je ne remets pas en cause la qualité, mais la quantité et le fait que les plats présentés sur votre site malgré les avoir choisis ne sont pas ceux que nous avons reçu (en terme de quantité) fait qu’on est forcément un peu déçus quand on sort avec une note de table élevée.

Le dessert lui par contre est telle que présenté sur votre site, il ne manquait que le bâton de meringue.

Au niveau du service : à part deux serveurs qui tenaient la route les autres semblent ne pas être au clair sur ce que le client a commandé et ce qu’il faut servir. Le service des boissons du bar de l’hotel a été très très longs.

Je suis consciente qu’il y avait un gros évent à l’hôtel ce même jour mais il aurait fallu que la cuisine attendent qu’on ait...
