Sawerdo provides an excellent brunch experience that’s worth checking out. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, catering to both traditional and modern tastes, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. The highlight for me was their bakery section, with an array of pastries and freshly baked goods that added a nice touch to the meal. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with clean, well-maintained interiors that make it comfortable to enjoy a leisurely brunch. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which added to the overall relaxed vibe of the place. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a longer meal, the environment makes it easy to enjoy your time there. In summary, Sawerdo offers not just good food but a welcoming atmosphere and great service, making it a solid choice for brunch in the area

Brunch here is incredible! We had no wait for a table but this place does stay pretty busy for brunch it seems! The food was amazing, we had the brioche french toast, avocado toast, and the eggs Benedict with bacon. Everything was perfect. We also tried their iced beverages, the iced latte was delicious, the chai was very good, and the hot cappuccinos were also very good. The chocolate milk was not quite as chocolate-y as we would have liked but it didn't detract from how great our meal was. The patio can be a little noisy so if you want to sit outside just know there is obviously going to be some street noise but it is a very pleasant area so we didn't mind. The service is also very good, and you can buy bread from the counter; I recommend the baguettes! Overall a wonderful place to eat.

This place is clearly very popular (although geneva doesn’t have many options) so it’s was very busy. We waited over 45 minutes to get seated at a table that wasn’t even cleaned up and had a leftover plate left there. We waited 20 minutes without anybody coming to clean the table, apologise or give us a menu. This place really needs to manage their time and staff. We’ve come here several times before but from now on never again. The food isn’t worth the hype, service and quality do not deserve over 1h30 wait. It’s also very dirty (since there’s not enough staff to clean up and tidy…) awful. Just google avocado toast in geneva and you’ll find much better places.

Conveniently located in a neighbourhood where there are not many other café options. I had been going for the past couple of months to get coffee and pastries but stopped because I found the prices to be exaggerated even for Geneva standards. Last week Wednesday on a whim I decided to return and try their brunch menu, and boy do I wish I hadn't ...I ordered their "brioche pain perdu", which arrived nicely garnished, smothered in caramel sauce, topped with chopped nuts and fresh grapes. When I cut into the brioche, out came oozing the egg mixture which had been used to soak the bread. I alerted the waitress who tried to convince me that this is what french toast was like....I explained I had eaten and made many a french toasts myself and that this was a sign that the dish had not been properly cooked. When pressed she admitted it was indeed the egg mixture that I had discovered, relented and took the dish away. She returned to explain that if they remade the dish, it would still be the same as this is how they served their french toast "moelleux" . I was offered the opportunity to choose something else, and so I asked for an order of their "banana bread toasté"...that dish arrived with the chef who apologized for having served an uncooked meal and offered the banana bread on the house. I appreciated the gesture and apology except the banana bread was also virtually inedible! It was nearly impossible to cut through it with a knife, and when I finally managed to I realized that it was rock solid and obviously frozen in the middle 🤦‍♀️. Maybe the chef was having an off day, but between the prices and the inedible dishes I don't think I will be returning...

I don’t usually leave reviews but here we go:

I’ve come to this place a number of times and I also have a lot of friends who I bump into/ come regularly here. Usually always has been a decent experience. Today after finishing the food, I went to the toilet which was FULL of fruit flies - all around the toilet, the outdoor sink area. It’s really alarming that there are so many fruit flies in the toilet (?) which makes me question hygiene standards.

I raised this with the staff who were extremely unhelpful and completely disregarded the issue when I raised it. I offered to show them as they told me they weren’t aware of the issue - but they declined my offer and told me they would check themselves after I left. This was quite rude - really poor customer service. I would’ve appreciated them taking me up on this offer after I suggested I show them the flies (surely they would have noticed this too. This many flies do not appear in 1 day). The problem can’t be just in the toilet and alerts to poor hygiene generally and potentially poor food storage. Mostly, I’m really disappointed at how this was handled, won’t be visiting again and will not...

I cannot seem to wrap my head around how this place has good ratings honestly. With the low ratings I found I have to agree. The overall aesthetic of this place is pretty nice I will give them that. My boyfriend and I were welcomed with the fakest « why are you here » smile, she was very unwelcoming and I noticed it was only to my boyfriend and I she had this attitude with. She finally came to take our order and my boyfriend had started off with « I would like 2 pain au chocolat and a hot chocolate » (keep in mind we both speak French) and she laughed as you spoke 🥴 and I asked her what was so funny🥴 Then she finished taking our order and it took a good 20 plus minutes to come and she forgot the hot chocolate that my boyfriend ordered 🥴 Now the food 😭 lord please 🙏🏼 I had the avocado toast, the bread was hard and thick and in that huge piece of bread 😭 the smallest over cooked poached egg and my boyfriend could barely eat his sandwich that was cold 😭 Nothing about the plate made me want to eat and all the unnecessary elements on the plate that just...
