Hands down I do not go out of my way for tar tar, but I am willing to just about anything with friends. That said, I jumped in with both feet and everything was excellent. The menu is simple and straightforward so they really do a good job on the things they have, but also have ways you can personalize things to your taste. There are some fun cocktails and good beers as well. Despite friends continuing to join through out the meal the staff were gracious and worked hard to accommodate us and make sure we had a great mean and a good time. I may not like tar tar, but there is a good chance I will be back!

A great casual spot for tartares, felt a little bit on the pricier side but I also ordered the larger option (which I felt was a good size for one person). The tartar itself was a little bit bland compared to some other tartare I’ve had in France but it was an enjoyable eat nonetheless. I appreciate the addition of some optional spiciness. The service was great, very friendly staff and handled my gluten allergy perfectly, even confirming that it was gluten free when delivering the food which is always lovely and uncommon across Europe I’ve found. Overall good experience and would definitely go back.

All versions of tartare - a very unique concept which was beautifully executed. We had the “summer time” tartare with salmon and the “thai” tartare with tuna. Both very tasty but could be refined further with more spices and salt in the first mentioned, and less vegetables and more fruit in the second one. The potato wedges on the side were delicious with their seasoning. The side salad was a bit uncreative but it wasn’t supposed to steal the show anyway. Our waiter was very friendly and we will be back to try another tartare variation!

For a landlocked country, the food is quite decent, and the cheesecake sublime. Yet the service has been enormously disappointing the last three times I’ve paid a visit there.

First time: we reserved for four and they didn’t seat us for 45 Minutes, and finally stuffed us on half a table with one chair literally on the road (!!) (that friend left in anger).

Second time, I arrived at 10:20 to order a slice of cheesecake for take away and was told the kitchen was closed. The door indicates they close at 11pm and if the kitchen closes can a cake that’s already made not simply be put in a box???

Third time (last night) I arrive at 9:51pm and at the entrance before even a pleasant greeting, we get an immediate instruction (from same staff for the third time) that if we want food, we would need to sit down and order within 8 Minutes as the kitchen closes at 10pm. Again I pointed out that it says 11pm on the door, and I am told the kitchen still closes an hour earlier so that they can fully close at 11pm. We left because the opening service was that agressive and unwelcoming.

For this reason, PLEASE TRAIN STAFF TO BE SERVICE ORIENTED AND POLITE if you want business.

Also pls change the time on the door to the time that staff no longer wishes to provide service, not the arbitrary time of shutting the door. More so because on our way home from dining elsewhere, there were still people inside and it was...

I am absolutely in love with Tartare and Compagnie! Both their restaurants in Planpalais and near Cornavin are my go-to spots. I have had the pleasure of trying numerous tartares from their menu, and let me tell you, each one is an absolute delight.

I want to extend a special thank you to the waiter who served us last night. He was incredibly pleasant and attentive throughout our entire dining experience. When my mother expressed her dissatisfaction with the wine she ordered, he immediately offered to replace it with another drink. Furthermore, I had a moment of confusion while placing my main course order, and the waiter graciously offered to bring me exactly what I wanted.

But it doesn't end there! As we were leaving, my 9-year-old son asked if his water bottle could be refilled. To our surprise, the waiter kindly offered to fill it with sparkling mineral water. Such exceptional service is a rarity in Switzerland, where restaurants often seize every opportunity to maximize profit and exhibit inflexibility.

I am truly impressed by the outstanding service and attention to detail at Tartare and Compagnie. They have won me over as a loyal customer, and I can't wait for...
