Bluebird Café — Restaurant in Lausanne

A wonderful little restaurant in the center of Lausanne. The ambience is chic but homey as well, making it a great place to spend time chatting and enjoying the delicious food. Everyone can find something to eat here, the menu is diverse, offering something for every taste. Especially the appetizer plate is highly recommended, the homemade tapenade, avocado dip and foccacia were heavenly. The chef of Bluebird café is an absolute king/queen of spices. We were thrilled about all the small components rounding up the dishes in the best possible way. Also, definitely give the vegan chocolate cookies a try, they were absolutely perfect.

Just had an awful cold eggs Benedict royale breakfast. Cold chewy muffin , poor quality salmon and cold hollandaise sauce with a salad dripping in dressing. Advised server it wasn’t great and was still charged even though I left 85%. Other 2 meals weren’t special . Eaten there many times b4 but not again. Charged for the meals in full 🤷‍♀️. Shame. Would not recommend. Went for a Sunday brunch, the place was already super hot and crowded when we got there. I ordered an avocado and pumpkin with feta toast. It was literally two small slices of bread NOT toasted with some avocado purée and feta sprinkled on top, nothing special. The salad it came with was very tiny. That was 20 chf. Not a good presentation of the food either. I left very hungry and had to go order some fries and dessert from another restaurant.
