I’ve been to this restaurant many times, it was my favourite. I brought some new friends to this place yesterday and our waiter was very rude. When he came serving the food, I asked nicely if I could have cheese etc with the pasta, he completely ignored me, as if he cannot hear or that I didn’t exist. I said excuse me then he just quickly said sorry I don’t speak English and then walked away. Another colleague of his then became our waiter as I requested someone who can speak English - and he was really lovely, he explained that the previous colleague just didn’t speak English - but you don’t need to speak English to be polite, because he was extremely rude. Very disappointed at the service we received in the beginning, all of my friends also felt the same (One of my friends actually speak some French, and she said the waiter was extremely rude and just pretended he didn’t understand her). Such a shame that a lovely restaurant was tainted by the poor service by that one waiter. Giving 2 stars for service because the guy after was very kind, but would’ve given 0-1 star to the server from...

We booked this newly opened restaurant because we were truly drawn in by the beautiful website and the menu, which seemed more original than others. However, once we arrived, while the décor was indeed nice, the ambiance felt very dark and the service was unfortunately quite slow — noticeably slow.

We ordered both starters and main courses. To be honest, the food was fine, but nothing memorable. There was no real “wow” moment in terms of taste, nor any alignment between the visual appeal and the marketing compared to what we actually experienced.

The entire concept — from presentation to execution — just didn’t deliver. We wouldn’t go back. Even the so-called highlight dishes, like the carbonara, were disappointing. The portion was small, and even our kids didn’t finish their plates, saying it wasn’t that good.

To put it simply: we’ve been to many restaurants, and this one just isn’t worth it. While I respect the opinions of other customers, in our case, the experience didn’t live up to the expectations. Improve your service — we won’t...

Living in a city that offers a very competitive restaurant scene has its pluses and its drawbacks. The main drawback is that you easily get spoiled and have very high anticipation. So this happened to me today when I tried Lupaia Osteria. Don't get me wrong it's a cute restaurant with great service but the food needs work. The presentations are wonderfully done but the flavors are a bit on the bland side. I'm fully aware that Switzerland is not known for bold dishes but I think an Italian restaurant should cook closer to its tradition and avoid localizing. So I tried the shrimp salad and pasta carbonara. The shrimp salad lacks flavor, neither the shrimp nor the dressing stood out. On the flip side it's a huge portion. The pasta carbonara, the flavors were nice but using udon noodles doesn't work. It makes the dish heavy and difficult to enjoy. My recommendation back...
