Terrasse d'Ouchy — Restaurant in Lausanne

Insanely long waiting times. In total, I waited almost an hour and a half for my burger, even though the waiter kept telling me that "the burger will be here shortly". The restaurant was very full at this point, but that's no excuse for a simple burger taking so long to be prepared.

What's more, the staff are neither approachable nor attentive. I watched a couple lose their temper because their cheque took forever to arrive. It made no sense for the waiter to ask me how I liked the burger best as they must have forgotten when they started preparing it. Anyway, they served the meat "well done".

I can give 2 stars because the location and atmosphere are really nice, especially at sunset. This wouldn't necessarily be the case if the restaurant wasn't right on the lake.

I would only recommend having a drink there as the atmosphere still makes it worthwhile. You should go somewhere...

Having an experience that I would not want to repeat again in this place. We are 5 (Non caucasian and not 100% French speaker) and would like to sit at the table on the terrace, the waiter said that it's only for dine in not for drink. But a lot of caucasian people sitting in the table terrace only with drinks without food. Once we speak in English, the server starts to lower his service and hospitality until the lowest to us compared to French speaking and Caucasian guests. Not recommended for non caucasian and non French...

Absolutely unacceptable. After a 40-minute wait, my daughter was served a burger that looked half-eaten and trampled on. I refused it immediately, yet they still tried to charge me for it and did charge me for another dish I never touched. Frankly, I couldn’t eat while my child sat there hungry and disappointed. The waiter was respectful, but the supervisor’s attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Disgraceful experience....
