Great ambience, bad food and awful staff.

Went there on 16th of January 2025, last time I went there was In 2019.

Ordered pizza, it was undercooked but had a bad odor and taste of a burnt pizza, not charred(definitely coming from the uncleaned oven).

When I reported it to the kitchen, they seemed to not care less and said that's how the pizza and the oven is here usually(For context, I have been having pizzas over my life, worked in a pizzeria under one of the top pizzaolo in the world, have lived in Italy as well so I have a pretty decent understanding of a good pizza).

While my goal was to just inform them thinking it could be a genuine mistake from them, the reaction was completely unexpected.

Following this when I tried to inform the receptionist who also claimed to be the manager while I was paying, he alleged that I had been visiting their pizzeria over the last few months and claiming the same thing to get discounts(I went there twice in my life and last time was in 2019).

Following this, I couldn't be bothered anymore and understood how the other staff is comfortable talking disrespectfully to guests given the attitude of the manager.

Not only they are very disrespectful there, but also do not care about any customer feedback.

Would never go back again. If you want a good pizza in Lausanne, go to Mami pizza. They know how to make a pizza, understand Hospitality and don't make fake allegegations against you when you try to give...

I went at Vapiano in Lausanne for dinner and I choosed the pizza Barbecue. In the description of the Ingredients there was not mention to spicy sauces. When the pizza arrived it was so so spicy. I was trying to eat that and i gave also a slice of pizza so my friend could taste which had the same opinion as me. I called the Manager, Fernanda, which was rude and arrogant. She denied at all that it was spicy. In my opinion I think they made confusion with another pizza. But they dont gave the chance to investigate if it was an error in the kitchen. That kind of stuff can happen, but the way i was treated was not the correct one. Thez not asked the cook what happened. That mamager insisted many times that it had no peppery/spicy trying to contradict all I said like if was stupid. I was a client and I have the right to be well treated. I was already in many restaurants and I was never treated like that. Errors can happen. We have to know to deal with that in a polite way. Horrible...

My girlfriend and I are regular Vapiano customers and we have been to multiple locations in many cities (London, Amsterdam, Zurich, Geneva and now Lausanne).

The idea is really nice and the implementation is very similar pretty much everywhere. Food is good, staff are friendly and quite efficient and the premises and tidy and clean.

However, one issue that most of these restaurants face is the lack of vegan options. They do have a few vegetarian ones which are also nicely marked on the menu but when it comes to veganism Vapiano sadly falls behind many competitors and that is really a shame for such a big brand which is also from Germany (a country leader in veganism). For instance, yesterday I asked the pizza chef if they had any vegan cheese for pizza instead of mozzarella and he barely knew what it was.
