Unfriendly staff and restaurant manager in Lausanne. The restaurant stinks of bad oils. A large proportion of the food is deep fried âŠ. Such a shame as they market themselves as healthy food, the cauliflower, brocoli and potatoes are deep friedâŠ. This is terrible . The salads are soaked and shining with high inflammation oils , why on earth would you use colza or sunflower oils to dress beetroot or carrots, normal practice is that olive oil would be used . Fir sure, they are saving money by using such oils e.g colza and sunflower đ». .
Sunflower oil is high in onega 6 and this causes inflammation. Colza is high in omega 3 but it is very industrial and not good for the body as it undergoes high temperature extraction
One would imagine that such a restaurant would use high omega 3 Healthy oils such as extra virgin olive oil and coconut oils / fat for certain dishes .
Their baking selections all done with high inflammation omega 6 oils such as sunflower oil or colza âŠ.
Healthy baking can easily be done with olive oil at temperature

However there is still quite a big risk of cross contamination due to the nature of self service, for example nothing to stop people using the same tongs on the normal and adjacent GF bread.
The table was very dirty but the staff behind the bar taking payment were very nice. Be warned your hot food may go cold as you wait in line to pay.
I would advise grouping together your kids food on to one plate as they had barely anything yet two adults and two tiny kids plates came to over CH60 francs (only 2 drinks in this). I do feel it is somewhat overpriced, and when the kids tried my eggs and wanted some, I went to fetch a modest bowl of just scrambled eggs to be told it was CH9 Francs!! Without doubt the most expensive eggs Iâve...
Read moreDelicious vegetarian food with a large variety of healthy options, served buffet style, in a beautiful location. My only complaint was that we were yelled at by staff for bringing the wrong plates to sit outside. We did not see instructions on what to use and got the takeaway boxes since we thought we might take it down to the water. We ended up in the restaurant's outdoor seating area and apparently we should have used regular silverware and plates there and were rudely reprimanded. I understand the desire to reduce waste, but the containers were on offer and as we were catching a train we thought we might need to eventually take it with us. The experience left a poor taste in our mouths during on otherwise...
