Location can't be beat. Right on the Main Street of lauterbrunnen. We came off the train from the Zurich airport (via Interlaken Ost) with backpacks and a toddler and it was an easy

Do not book direct.|We didn’t mind booking directly with the hotel as we have had two very pleasant previous stays, what we didn’t bargain for was the hotel had new management since our last visit.|In May we booked for five nights over the ’24 Christmas, prepaying in full which is the hotels request. At the end of October they cancelled our Christmas Eve and Christmas Night booking, leaving us with three nights. |This was done by email, with no offer of a refund, the email went to spam and we didn’t see it for five days, by which time the hotel had closed for five and a half weeks. At first we thought the hotels emails had been hacked and we were being scammed, but eventually by going through the local tourist bureau we managed to get in contact with the hotel, who confirmed it as correct.|We walked on eggshells from then on with the hotel, eventually managing to get a refund over six weeks after they cancelled two of our five nights. We were charged for our 'reserved' parking place; however, there were no available spaces. We had to drive further into the valley to pay yet again for lot parking and walk back our luggage in the rain. Our dinner reservation - 20+ minutes for anyone to come to our table. As we attempted to order, we were advised that the items were unavailable (about 1/3 of the menu). The rosti that was ordered was delicious, the spaghetti bolognes was not. After the drink order, our waitress never returned, although we did see her streetside talking with locals walking by. She never returned. We finally were able to flag someone down for more water and dessert and we're told there was no dessert available. They stated the same to the table next to us. It took another half hour to receive our bill to pay. The female waitstaff at the restaurant are so busy talking with each other and locals walking by that they have no time for the customers. In our two weeks of travel, this was the only property that we would not recommend. Choose another property. This property is clearly taking advantage of the abundance of tourists and have stopped trying. We were there 10 years ago and it was totally different...
